I'm guessing it is the preload, as I doubt Scawen would change the AI directly without noting it in the change log.

You'd rather save 15 pounds and only have DX9 or would you rather spend the extra to be able to play games like Crysis and Flight Simulator X in full DX10 and still have the performance of about a 7950GT in DX9. Bear in mind that the drivers are still not that great as the card hasn't even been released yet.

The XRR is easier to control than the XRT because of the downforce settings that you can adjust to easily change the handling of the car. The XRR is not very competive with the other cars in its class though because the FXR and the FZR are both a little faster.

The FX-74 is only marginally faster stock. A MODERATELY overclocked Intel Quad core can easily beat them as the FX Quad's barely overclock at all before they hit a boundary. The Intel Quad's overclock extremely well just like all the other Core 2 Duo's.

Why do you need as little CPU as possible? Mine doesn't use alot on integrated graphics.

Sounds like a bug to me, are you 100% sure you were using non hybrid/knobbly tires on the lx6?

EDIT: btw, nice rig

TV's are different anyway as they blend the frames together, so even though they are at 25fps, they look alot more fluid than 25fps in a computer game for example. Most people shoot for 60fps as anything over that won't really improve the fluidity of the screen that you can notice playing, though it may improve your response time by a minuscule amount which has been proven before to be true and is especially useful in FPS games like Counterstrike.

I've talked to my dad and he said that he was told from a friend of his (drove gas trucks for a living) that all the gas stations (in the same area) use the same gas, so one stations 93 octane isn't better than another's as the only possible difference would be if they added something at the gas station themselves. The only reason why I would prefer a brand is either being closer, or just having a better record for their gas quality (like leaks, old tanks etc.)

Same here, the UFR/XFR bore me racing. The only time I really have fun with them is just cruising around. I don't really know why but it just doesn't seem like your are really "in it" with the UFR/XFR and the UFR likes to flip over at random curves aswell. I almost feel like the guy who crashed the Enzo this week when driving it as the car likes to understeer.

I am still not sure if I will participate. I will be just getting home from school at that time so I will think about it.

Check and make sure your antivirus and/or firewall isn't blocking LFS from connecting to the master server.

It is telling you that you need to use the manual transmission.

Because it is a test patch, not everything is guaranteed to work well.

I've been on a few race servers with the patch and have noticed what looks almost like lag. The cars on the track will jump around a little almost like lag. Also, almost no one's ping stayed under 0.10 for more than half a second (except for maybe 1 person, who I think had V3). I don't think I'm lagging and just wanted confirmation from someone else who has also noticed it as it seems to be an OOS problem.

I think I'm going to try this out when I get home, looks awsome to drive on and screw around with. It might just be because I'm bored as heck in Computer App class ATM, but I doubt it .

I have a 4x00ti lying around that I never use as I replaced it with a 6600GT in my 1.8Ghz P4. They are great cards and ran lfs pretty well. The only thing holding it back in lfs was the processor.

I would love to drive around the Nurburgring as like a track day. I think it would be rubbish for races but would be a hell of a lot of fun just to drive around on like what most people do when they go to the Nurburgring. This might be a better idea when the amount of people on the server is increased as you could truly have a track day .

I wouldn't worry about going 64-bit yet as drivers are a pain for it. Especially for XP as very few use 64-bit on XP. If you are going to 64-bit, I would recommend going with Vista aswell as more and more people are switching over with the new OS'es

I was also considering it, but your probably better off spending a little more for a G25.

Heh, guess i will be taking a 24h break too . Forgot it wasn't allowed and started in manual on an autox track, then switched to auto as I usually use automatic on autocross courses as I can never find the right gear. I remember it wasn't allowed when I was kicked from the server
