Wow Gunn, anything I was playing on saying was said somewhere in that post plus a lot more . This definitely gave me a different view on the way LFS is being developed

Right now you are using integrated graphics. It basically uses the processor to render everything. With a graphics card, all the rendering is done in it and the graphics card is specifically designed to generate what you are seeing so it is alot more efficient, taking a big strain off of your processor while playing games. I am trying to think of a way to tell you how to find out which slot you have and that won't be too hard to explain... (anyone?)

You start out with 3 unlocks when you purchase S2, You get 1 unlock every month up to a maximum of 2 (obviously if you haven't used your starting unlock, you won't gain anymore aswell). If you really need an extra unlock for a valid reason (computer hardware trouble, frequent OS installs etc.) then send a letter to the developers and let them decide.

The only constructive criticism I could find is that the car sits a tad too high (suspension wise) and the car looks a little smooshed (car shouldn't be as long). Though the smooshed part could be from the angle of the pictures, I remember the Boxster being a little bigger heightwise when I see them driving around town. Otherwise the car looks amazing, would love to drive it in lfs .

Sounds good but seems to be too many rules for my interest on top of that I am not the best racer of what this league looks like it's pointing to. Anyways I would love driving in this league as this is my favorite car so drop me a PM if you are short some racers.

Maybe your ISP is blocking ports (Bittorrent ports?) during certain hours so others can connect to the internet at peak times.

Did your speakers blow? I don't think you can really blow a soundcard that easily...

Is that real time? I always needed to know how to get the best traction with LFS Tweak/Mecanik by trying to keep the tires flat, this will help alot!

I'm almost 100% sure it's an overheating problem then. Try cleaning as much dust out of the case as possible if you haven't done so already, and use a program like speedfan to make sure your fans are running at a reasonable speed. Try to clean off your fans' blades while you are at it with a cue tip or something and make sure that they arn't under alot of resistance (bearings shot?) while trying to spin. That would be why most GPU's have heatsinks as well as fans now.

Maybe try running spysweeper? Can find alot of things many other programs can't find (like norton for example, peice of crap....)

Should I start a poll for the "people that paid for s2" only section? This would help as we could talk about things without worrying about demo users seeing it.

Soooo, has he tried my advice yet? If you have an internet connection on the desktop you should just be able to switch the cables from the router to the desktop TO the router to the laptop. Though some ISP's need to have their software installed to work...

I would recommend going to overclock.net for your cooling/overclocking questions. The forum community is great there, they know what they are talking about and can give you the right advise and be able to show you how far others with the same cpu have pushed theirs.

Not a bad setup, the only thing that is holding your framerates back in LFS (though not by much, and your probably getting very high framerates anyways) is your cpu. I wouldn't recommend upgrading it but just an fyi so you know.

Can't you just unplug the ethernet cable from the desktop and plug it into the laptop?

I'm assuming from the replies that you can't but you never know...

I wouldn't recommend buying it until you know someone that has it with no problems, because it looks like the card seems to be at fault for some weird reason... illepall

My first racing game that I can remember (and still have) is Need for Speed II, I got it when it came out, and I'm 15 now so I don't know how long ago that was but I am holding the cd in my hands now.
