There are only two words I need to say: Thank You.
If only I could quote that without getting banned even though as Americans, we hear the same said to us on this forum every day and it is considered perfectly fine.
I find that the morons that I see every day on the highway, weaving in and out of traffic going 20mph slower than them etc. are much more dangerous than someone who does a quick street race once a month on an "empty" road at night.
You guys make it sound like theres 3 cars on a narrow two lane road flying like nascar for miles.
Not everyone lives directly next to a drag strip. The nearest one to me is 1.5 hours on the highway. Gas is ridiculously expensive and to drive an hour and a half just to prove to a friend that his car is slow, is pointless.
Us teenagers are in a completely different situation from you adults. We can't just leave the house and go to a different state to have some fun. Besides karting, there is very little open for a 16 year old like me and you can't just hop into any motor sport at that age.
I am not saying that street racing is moral and that it is perfectly, it is just an option that most teenagers choose as the pro's at that moment outweigh the cons.
I just wish you guys could understand that a teenager can't leave his house and drive for hours into a different state.
My mom has a 97? Outback (may be a 96) that has the same oil problem. It would cost to much to fix the leak as the car is a POS anyway. It will probably end up as my first car so I am contemplating my options with the leak. I don't think it will be worth it to rebuild half the engine just to fix a small steady leak as it already has 150k miles on it.
Also, almost every Subaru built with this same power plant has the head gasket leak problem after about 100k miles for those who didn't know. The newer models '00 and on are perfectly fine, just these are plagued with the engine rebuild to replace the leaking seals.
Looks like a mistake. Not to ward anyone off or anything, but make sure to keep on to your receipts just in case they change the price. If that is the real deal, that is absolutely amazing, I should buy it and have it shipped to the US. (Bet you've never heard it going that way before )
Use the Wingman profiler to set each paddle to the same key on the keyboard. Then set this key as the handbrake.
To set a button/paddle as a key, open the logitech profiler, left click on the button/paddle you want to be the handbrake, select "Select Keystroke" then click "New Keystroke...". Click the record button and then press the key you want the handbrake to be set as. Now when you press that paddle, the key will be depressed.
With 4 drives I would never have some sort of backup, whether it is RAID 1+0 or RAID 5 or just a nightly backup to an external or spare drive.More info on RAID levels if you want to read up.
The only time I would recommend 2x2 would be if you are running an AMD system as it puts alot of stress on the AMD memory controllers which are known for possibly being unstable running 4 sticks of RAM.
Dooonster, what are your temps. at full load (running Prime95 or equivelant)?
It is very hard to "harjun" a processor as long as you keep the temps in spec (less than 60C for you). I think you would be able to get atleast 3 Ghz on that stock cooler before temps start getting warm.
Here is what I put together, though I would HIGHLY recommend you put it together yourself, as you would knock about $500 off the price just doing it yourself. We would gladly help you out with selecting parts and any problems you run into if you do choose to do build the computer.
EDIT: take off the Klipsch Speakers if you are using your own set. New Total = ~$2187?
