Quote from lizardfolk :Boris Said's trying too. But we really cant say about Villeneuve's chances because the quality of Bill Davis Racing cars are so diverse.

You have Dave Blaney's #22 which is probably the best toyota in the NASCAR field right now. But then you have Jeremy Mayfield's #36 who can barely qualify.

We really dont know how good the #27 is.

The 36 was just a disaster, team wasnt ready at all, cant build a team and a manufacture at the same time, 22 group has been together for ages. I hope mayfeild finds something better and davis learned a bit of a lesson, not that that one is too repeatable

To me all of the road going cars need a bit of a "reality based" makeover, im sure we'll get there someday though, till then, lets enjoy our fire breating monstors.

Quote from The Very End :It isn`t that it will attack..but it`s just...scary..
Well, I tell you a other secret.. I really hate things with many legs, and I`m scared of crabs. Oh my god are you probally thinking, but no shit, I think I have a fobi against those things. Special the big ones, holy shit I have nightmares about crabs...

Oh damn...I`m pathetic

So if a millipede crawled over you during the night you'd probably just die right then and there

The main problems stem from the fact on a closed oval like that, the mist created by the cars becomes so severe that visability turns to zero.

and at a constant 160-190mph, rain tires tear up, and the last thing you want on an oval is failing tires.

It will not happen if not ever, at least for many, many years.

Counter-Strike 144,008 95,070 7.583 billion
Counter-Strike Condition Zero 15,458 13,165 911.482 million
Day of Defeat 5,215 1,810 243.372 million

still a hell of a lot!

lol apparently I didn't spell out that I was being sarcastic enough Razz

But i'm sticking to my guns on the rfactor debate, they wouldnt have toted it as the best race sim of all time if they had simply intended it to be a new nascar heat.

Quote from deggis :Yeah, like modding also totally killed Half-Life...

well lets be honest, who actually plays half life itself now Uhmm

but i do somewhat agree, the rampid modding in RFactor killed its ability to be developed by its developers, now they have to make a whole new version every time, kinda ruins the moving foward progress of lfsNod

Quote from h3adbang3r :Yes, but ABC putting NASCAR races on a cable network was a bad idea in NASCAR's view. The ratings were 14% lower than before it was put on ESPN because of the fact that it is a cable network. Not everyone has cable in America you know.

but all of the chase races will be on abc, that was the goal.

The competition coupe is based off the Viper Platform, dodge produced it a few years before the new SRT-Coupe came out, however it is a seperate body and car from the SRT-10 and SRT-Coupe, its basically a factory built race car from dodge. They used to have a website for it on dodge.com, which I read many times

The closest me and my buddies could come was sonoma. Wine country, high class west coast citizens, a track that would only need "curb appeal" updating and a few curb changes to be F1 ready, and ISC has plenty of money to bring it up to that state, unfortunatly i doubt they will work with FIA to do that, since they already pack the place like it is for nascar :\

Quote from PMD9409 :IIRC they limit the number of drivers due to the number of pit stalls at each track. Some tracks use to only have 39 or 41 pit stalls and it made it difficult to have bigger fields. But it could be like that to keep it competitive because only 20-30 have the equipment to win as it is now.

you are correct, they made it a standard 43 because thats the min amount (other than dover, where they use one pit stall for two cars untill the first car drops out, that pit road is being redesigned soon)

Quote from srdsprinter :NASCAR needs roadcourses that are fan friendly, for it to work in America. Sonoma is pretty good for specators, Glen isn't i imagine.

Indy wouldn't work, because NASCAR swamps the infield before its races. (It would be sweet though)

actually watkins has some great spectator spots, there are two sides of the track that are "uphill" with a really good view, and its pretty racey all around, was one of my fav to watch, always sat near the top of the esses

VIR just doesnt have any "facilities" its more of a test track layout. maybe 10k seats whereas nascar needs 100k..that seems to be the main issue

Quote from duke_toaster :Yeah, I hope NASCAR take the cup to Hermanos Rodriguez and Canada, the fact that LS doesn't have a race would is a joke ... maybe Indy road as an F1 support event?

I doubt nascar would go to indy twice, and i doubt F1 or Nascar would want to support each other. If we added mexico and canada and kept glen and sonoma, i think 4 would be a good road course amount..for now, untill we get some real road courses in america (we have no big GP tracks)
