As for the topic at hand (old as it may be :shrug, I have LFS unlocked on my brother's PC, and then changed the username and password (without pressing lock). He can play S2 in single player or in LAN, but it won't let him go online. I think it's a neat feature (even though it's probably accidental...), and I see no harm in it

If it was hidden he wouldn't have been able to create the new folder

Are you sure you're looking in the right LFS folder? (Not taking the p*ss or anything, it's happened me many a time with the amount of LFS installs I have...) If it's saving the shots it must be saving them somewhere. If you still can't find them, try doing a full PC search for the name of one of the saved files

it could be possible with OutGauge and InSim

Actually, the JPG compression in Windows 7 is far improved from previous versions. Haven't tried paint yet, but using Snipping Tool (Which takes screenshots or portions of screenshots), JPG quality is fine

I don't know why they don't just ask Adobe nicely how to save half-decent JPGs

I followed S1, but S2 was a pile of rubbish. S3 looks good though, will be following it

Can't remember which I had first, but there was v-rally, the original PS1 F1 game, porsche challenge (the one with the porsches ) and destruction derby I all played regularly. I still remember the first time I finished v-rally, I spent an entire day home from school "sick" just to do it

Heard this today from a friend, a good many lol's were had  He caught me off-guard after the random first one

Friend: Why did the monkey fall out of the tree?
Me: Dunno...
Friend: He was dead.

*Awkward silence*

Friend: Why did Sally fall off the swing?
Me: She was also dead?
Friend: No, she had no arms.

*Slight awkward lol'ing*

Friend: Knock Knock
Me: Umm, who's there?
Friend: Not Sally anyway...

Kind of thing you had to be there for I suppose

Heh, I know both ways are illegal (and I'm not doing either way. I'm a named driver on my mum's policy, it's her only car), but you will be caught doing Jakg's way. At least with the way I mentioned, you have SOME hope of being safe as long as you don't need to claim. If you were asked for insurance details from the police (for whatever reason), you have an actual policy to show.

I say go for it. What's the worst that can happen?

Also, the faster car would still need to be insured I'd imagine, even if it's your parents insuring it. The far easier, and less borderline option, is to insure the car in one of your parent's names, and put yourself down as a "named driver". As long as you don't own any other cars, and their name is down as the official owner in the books, you're safe. It should be far cheaper than insuring it yourself. I know that if I insured my mum's car in my name, it would be about 3 times what I pay as a named driver, yet I can still drive the car just as much

Had a good COD4 session yesterday and it still turned off about 5-7 seconds after pressing the button. Doesn't seem to be affected by how long you've been playing or what state it's turned off in

Mins started a major slow-down recently. As it's almost co-inciding with the warranty expiry (Of course it is :rolleyes, I'm going to open it up and blow it out. Might just be a collection of 3 years worth of dust and crap

Also, get yerself a nice big memory card, back everything up, and re-format. Might help a little bit

You _could_ connect multiple programs on the same port, but that wouldn't help anything. It's not going to speed up the way LFS sends and receives packets. Assuming you're connecting it to a local server, there should be no "lag" with sending buttons, only at the client's end. What you could (and should) do, is make your program multi-threaded, to receive and send packets on different threads. Set each important receive/send event on it's own thread, and leave everything else in the main program thread. Should help a bit if there's heavy CPU work being done

Not really, but it gives answers in hours, minutes seconds. A LOT neater than having to divide by 60 and sort the remainder. Far quicker too

No idea what's wrong so, sorry I'd doubt it's a COD4 problem though, it's working fine for everyone else

Hmm, my calculator (IRL, scientific one) can use degrees, minutes and seconds, which can be used for time too. I'm sure there must be something similar for PC?

When I have a bad internetz connection it does that, also times me out in the middle of the game. No problems when the internetz are working fine though, which they should be if you have GT5P and LFS working (although since it's PS3, I assume you have it running through wifi. Might be the problem?)

Due to my Vista installation giving up on me, and me not being arsed to reinstall it and find all my x64 drivers, I'm now using 7 as my main OS. It works damn nice at it too, even in its beta stage it's far more reliable and compatible than Vista.

One thing I noticed when playing with vLite though - they've named it Windows 6.1

Last time I was playing with LFS' settings (a few months ago), you could assign mouse axes to combined throttle/brake and steering. It was nigh-on impossible to drive using two different axes, but it was definitely working. I'm not sure how to go about doing it again, but it was definitely in version Z

Don't think so, I installed it on a 6GB IDE drive I had lying around last night, and it works fine. I installed it with all other drives pulled out, including my main Vista drive

Here here, I freakin hate living on a back road, every second car is gloss white and has massive ZORSTS. And I live half a mile from a dual carraigeway, so I can hear them racing at night.

(But the movie looks good :razz
