I just thought that it was interesting that a packet structure from a small indie game could become the standard used by Codemasters I'm sure there must be other layouts in use by bigger games, yet they chose OutSim for some reason.
For KY at least, I think it should be 100kmh, maybe even 120kmh. It's a very long and wide pitlane, and there's plenty distance between the stalls and the drive-here-part, for joining cars to see the cars that are now doing 100/120kmh. Plus, most of the cars driven around KY are SS or GTR, which are very capable of doing 100kmh safely.
Ideally, I'd like to see pit limits being able to be set by InSim or maybe in the server config
Apparently I fail at every single game (even Kung Fu F-ing Panda) because I'm running Windows 7. It couldn't even get that right, puts me down as build 7000
I absolutely murdered you though (Only because someone called "huge ass" became my pupil, levelled me up to lvl.3, and then I got the club as a result )
struct OutSimPack { unsigned Time; // time in milliseconds (to check order)
Vector AngVel; // 3 floats, angular velocity vector float Heading; // anticlockwise from above (Z) float Pitch; // anticlockwise from right (X) float Roll; // anticlockwise from front (Y) Vector Accel; // 3 floats X, Y, Z Vector Vel; // 3 floats X, Y, Z Vec Pos; // 3 ints X, Y, Z (1m = 65536)
int ID; // optional - only if OutSim ID is specified };
I suppose you could use a combination of pitch and roll to find which corner(s) of the car are raised. It wouldn't show which shocks are compressed though
Thinking about it, the OutSim data from LFS is quite limited. IMO it could give much more detailed info about the nature of the car
That's a bit of a grey area I think. You haven't touched the source, you've just modified a config file. GPL only requires you to make the source available, which would be the same as the stock LFS Lapper
Who can't run DX9? I know that the devs try to cater for old hardware, but if you can't run DX9 you have some serious hardware issues...DX9 was released in 2002. Also, according to Wikipedia at least, it's even backwards compatible with older cards (unlike DX10). You could still provide an option to disable all the new fancy settings for those with 8+ year old PCs, and the rest of LFS could use DX9. Surely it would increase performance on older machines also, due to better rendering techniques and what not
Haha, that's the second bike I learned to ride too Was great fun while it lasted, they're amazingly durable. I remember having it when I was really small, it was my Dad's spare bike when his proper one wouldn't start. I can't remember any maintenance ever being done to it since then, apart from grasstrack-prepping it. I think I seized mine by trying to jump a pond. Don't do it kids, engines do not like water. At least put a ramp before it when trying anyway
Attached some pics of myself and my Dad's mountain climbing last weekend. I've had the bike a few years now, but I haven't posted it in here yet (Mine's the overheating one, without the seized master cylinder )
Just don't get braces whatever you do. You'll probably intercept CIA 2-ways or something
Living in Norway, I'm not sure how you could pick up German radio. If you can't pick it up with a normal radio (I assume you can't anyway), there's no hope of picking it up through interference. Could be naval vessels or planes I suppose, hardly radio though
