I don't know what Canada is like, but have you seen the state of Europe's litter problems? I could fill a couple of bin bags with what's thrown away by cars on the road in front of my house (and my road frontage is maybe 20m at most). Doesn't mean I want to chase after them on a moped and hijack their car with a ransom for €9,000,000
Most of those they "kidnap" have nothing to do with dumping anyway. Army captains, private yachts, Russian tank details, ya know the like.
Piracy may be a way of life for them, but it cannot be allowed to happen. If I went around town stealing everything shiny I saw, it wouldn't be long before I was in front of a desk sergeant. Nobody would have sympathy for me if I said I was doing it to feed my family, much less if I was carrying rocket launchers and AKs. Why should they be any different?
Internet pirates are being punished for their piracy, I think real life pirates should be treated the same. Or is it allowed by the PC crowd 'coz they're black and poor?
Yes, quite easily. You could create a big array with all the file names that the current version uses, and then erase everything outside of that (skipping the layouts, setups and skins folders, and also wherever LFS stores player and controller info).
It's definitely best to remove it all. Any that's left won't be adhered to by the new stuff, causing pockets of air, especially after a while when it settles. You could try prising it off with a sharp knife, if you're careful not to stab yourself or to gouge holes in the CPU.
BTW, you can remove the CPU from the Xbox? I'd have thought they'd solder everything down
I used nail varnish remover to clean the standard crap off my heatsink when I got it, worked a treat It probably won't work for you if it's caked on though. My stuff was unused
I'd be more concerned about the size of the ambulances to be honest. I mean, when you compare a marshall to one, you're never going to fit a driver in one of those things It's all very well having the biggest toolbox in the world to repair the car after a crash, but I think the driver' wellbeing is more important
If they both have wireless, you can "setup" an access point on one of them (really easy if you have Vista, find it in control panel. Not sure how to go about it in XP), to setup a LAN. Then it's just set up a LAN server as normal, and connect
I see no problem. It is essentially a company giving out the LFS demo, with a special launcher that goes to their server. It doesn't modify LFS in any way, it just gives out an extra few files along with it. LFS will still carry the devs' copyright notices, so it hasn't violated any rules.
It is a very tight thing to do, but from a legal point of view, they haven't done anything wrong
I'm going to register and download it, and kick some demo ass, for the lulz. Surely after 3+ years of LFSing, even I can beat some arcade noobs
€: On registering, you're sent a nice LFS tech email, that clearly says that the game is LFS, and that MNK are using it for a league, along with a link to the forum and to lfs.net. So anybody that registers knows what game they're playing. Good job LFS
There are no lights missing. TC light won't affect you as a demo racer, and you didn't have your headlights on, so the other blue light didn't come on. They're not missing, you're just not using them. They wouldn't be much use as lights if they stayed on all the time, would they
I picked up an 8GB IDE drive from a scrapped computer a mate had. Does the job nicely for backups, plus it has a lite version of Ubuntu installed, that I can boot into if my main OS fails HDD's are dirt cheap nowadays, you can pick up a 1TB Samsung F1 for €100 now, meaning it's €0.10 a GB now
The PM hasn't called it voluntary. That's the BBC's doing. He's called it "compulsory community service". Much like the type of thing sex offenders and thieves are required to do after being given suspended sentences
Guys...it's 50 hours over 19 years. It's not like you've to do 50 hours a week. That's 0.007 hours per day over 19 years. So, if you do 25.9 seconds a day, you'll be done. I think everybody does that already. Basically have a conversation with a homeless, aged or disadvantaged person for 26 seconds every day, and you'll be finished. Is that really THAT taxing??
Look at this way - he's talking about bringing it in as part of a school curriculum. That means, at an hour a day, you'll be done in 10 weeks. Plus you get an hour off school each day for that. Win-win, no?
Is this kind of an alternator for the drive battery? I'd imagine you can't just slap one on a car that wasn't designed for it without some special conversion kits if it is
I can't see this being important though. You can switch between MPH and KM/H in-game whenever you want already. How many people need both at the same time? We only have one speed you need to remember in KM/H, the pitlane speed. And that's a touch under 50MPH. Everything else you can deal with in your own unit
