I voted no. It seems like there are two issues here (other than all the completely OT issues). Whether or not some cars have different boost limits over different gears and whether or not boost limits should be adjustable. Clearly the former exists in some street cars, but probably isn't as prevalent in race cars. If one of LFS' cars is based on a vehicle like this, then obviously this behavior should be modeled. What is being suggested though is that these limits should be user adjustable. I don't think so. It doesn't seem to be in line with the sorts of adjustments we can currently make to the cars, and it doesn't seem likely that we'll be able to muck around with engine parameters like this, nor should we IMO.
If you're spinning out in corners, set up your car better or drive it better.
Has anyone tried uploading a hotlap saved while test driving a setup from someone else's hotlap? I've noticed that it seems to save replays no problem while test driving o.O
Just seems cheap x 10^5 to upload a hotlap with someone else's skin and name, much less their setup heh
My record is probably about 16 whole hours =-/ I know I've slept more than 12 more than once, but I don't think I have more than 18-20.
My average is near 7-8 hours. I work from 4pm to Midnight, stay up until 4 or 5 am, and wake up at noon. I don't use alarms unless I have to get up earlier than that, like if I have something to do at 8am. That's not often though; it's usually not an issue having my entire schedule shifted about 8 hours later than the majority of the civilized world, but sometimes I have to accomodate ^.^
Fuji has a 300r and 100r. I think kev gets a cookie for sounding right, at least.
Oops hit submit before I was done.
But with Fuji look at how much tighter the 100r is than 300r, compared to the difference between Suzuka's 130r and 200r. Just doesn't seem to jibe. Unless of course I'm misunderstanding the concept completely...
Seriously though, what would there be if you took out the grass? Mud? I don't think Westhill needs any more curbing; I like it how it is. One of my favorite tracks really. I wouldn't mind if it had another config or something though... What car are you having trouble with there? Have you watched any good replays to see what the best lines are? I mean, if you're hitting the grass, I don't think you're on the right line (or you're just pushing too hard).
New in U30: Using DFP, when I pause a single player game the force feedback persists for about one second after pressing the pause button. Or in other words, if I'm turning left and the force feedback is trying to turn the wheel back to the right and I pause the game, the wheel will continue trying to rotate back for about a second. In previous versions (I've used just about every test patch since U20) the wheel went completely limp instantly when pausing the game.
This doesn't affect me negatively at all, I just thought I'd point it out in case the behavior is unintentional, as I didn't notice anything in the patch notes about FF.
Maybe if the view rotated around a slightly different axis when you look left/right/back, it would let you look around the seat. If you picture your head turning, your eyes are a little bit forward of the point that your head pivots (towards the back of your neck) so your view sort of swings around the pivot point rather than your view rotating right on the pivot point. If you know what I mean ^.^
EDIT: Plus, if you look all the way over your shoulder IRL, you end up with some shoulder/body movement as well, further increasing the distance between your view origin and the pivot point.
I've used AVG Free on multiple computers for a long time, and it's always worked well and intercepted problems before they ... um... become problems. It stays out of the way and seems to update itself pretty frequently.
@Bob: Is that Newcastle in a can? Weird, that just seems wrong. I guess they don't import it like that here; never seen that before. Definitely one of my top 3 beers though.
@Tweaker: Arrogant Bastard isn't bad IMO, plus the bottle makes an interesting read heh. Same co makes another good one to look out for, Ruination IPA iirc.
I'll take me avatar pic when I get off work tonight. Most likely have a few more to add to the "collection" too ha! Happy Halloweeeeen!
That sounds cool though. I haven't flown for at least a month I guess because I'm too goal oriented and it's too much work to try to figure out "something to do" in X-Plane. I'm bored of flying from my hometown to other towns I know. The global scenery just compounds the problem; it's overwhelming! I need some missions - so I can get on and have something tell me, "Ok sir, I need you to fly from Sao Paulo to Chili ASAP! GET IN TEH AIR SIR NOW!" "Roger that over and out!"
Maybe I just need to join some kind of X-Plane community :/
