more useless posting from someone that has nothing to do with this entire situation, thanks for your feedback, i'll log it in my suggestion box and get back to you later.
you can't 100% protect yourself from a ddos attack. a ddos attack is of flood of traffic on your network causing it to freeze up and render you offline. There is no way to 100% protect from that.

Both incidents involved violating the User Agreement, nothing more, how is that different?
That's why user agreements are made, so people know what they can and can't do. It is upto the Moderators/Admins/Developers to stick to this agreement and enforce it fairly and promptly.
It's not 2 different cases, we were not asking the LFS devs to stop his DDoS attacks, we were merely asking them to punish this fool for breaking the user agreement we all agreed to when we purchased this software.
This is the response that should have come from an Admin, not the response that was given.
We merely did the same thing that was done when anakin skywalker was using the exploit to gain admin to servers, so the response from victor was kinda uncalled for, nobody jumped down their throat for making that thread.
It's amazing, this is a community forum and when the community tries to get something done on it, it ends up 2 ways. You get trolled endlessly or your get no response from where it really matters.
This community should start acting like a community and less like 4CHAN.
End User Agreement says pretty clearly something like this is not allowed, so why to try and make us the bad guys? We are just trying to get this resolved and let the community know about this guy.
Don't come and try to tell us what we did is wrong, we were letting the community know about this guy just like that last thread about someone hacking LFS so how is this any more wrong than the other thread that caused a new test patch to be tested?

The requisite “damage” element under the CFAA is “any impairment to the integrity or availability of data, a program, a system, or information” (see 18 U.S.C. § 1030(e)(8)) and a “protected computer” is defined as a computer “which is used in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, including a computer located outside the United States that is used in a manner that affects interstate or foreign commerce or communication” (see 18 U.S.C. § 1030(e)(2)(B)).
I am sure that isnt the only law being broken, but who cares right? Nobody on this forum could give 2 shits because they find it funny.
