He's lucky some of the drivers he passed were not as aggressive as him, else there would have been a prang.
Going 3 wide through the cutting was great to watch though.
While I don't agree with your trolling with the 'rednecks in jeans' comments, I do agree that there were some pretty ordinary response times in those videos. Especially the drag racing ones. There's no excuse in such a small venue.
The desire for more content in LFS is not a bad thing. More content will bring in more sales for the devs. But, they know this...
I'll bet that more content is being developed right now and in time, it will make it into the game.
When did the devs announce that they were only working on bugs/physics?
I'm with them. There are enough combos with the existing tracks and would love to see some new tracks.
I'd like to see an epically long circut.
I'm no hot lapper, but would love the challenge of doing a nice clean 10 minute lap at an Eric created monster.
On that note, does anyone know if there are any limitations in LFS's engine that might make long tracks impossible?
Your AI comparison is far from proof, although I agree that most pickup races would see a spread out field.
Still, I'd love to see an 8-10 minute lap track in LFS (real or not).
It would provide a great time-trial challenge, and good races would certainly be possible if you get a few people together who know the track well.
You should try and drum up some support and send them some emails. They're slowly putting overseas rounds into the championship (and taking them out again )
Although I'm not a fan, I concede Ambrose was a fine driver in V8 Supercars. He dominated the championship which no-one has managed to do since he left.
I've always thought that V8 supercars woul be a hit if they travelled to the US/Canada. With the Chevy V8s and all. I wonder why they haven't tried it.
That's the key point to the whole sound thing fro mine. I agree that it comes down to how the car is allowed to be driven, and therefore the lack of engine damage.
@danowat I think the AI should be left in and improved. If anything, to make the product more marketable.
I'm interested in the comment about the AI being better in S1 though. Was it changed? Why? Tell me more!
Size/quality is about right considering the resolution, FPS and length.
Virtual Dub doesn't compress the audio afaik, so that's the only thing that might blow it out a bit.
It was done using only Fraps and VirtualDub, so the production values aren't flashy, there are just simple transitions between shots.
The aim was (hopefully) high quality LFS footage put to music.
Thanks for the advise, but this isn't a hardware issue.
Memory test came up fine. I also ran LFS from a different physical disk and had exactly the same result.
