that's what i and many other drivers do. i check the forum from time to time to see whats going on and sometimes i post my opinion, like in this thread. most of the time i do other stuff than playing games and when i do, i mostly play something else, because i am bored of lfs.
as you see, i am pretty relaxed about this. many forum users, who defend lfs at all cost and sometimes even attack others for a different point of view on this topic, obviously aren't. it's not a religion.
for me the speed of development in lfs is a huge disappointment. the development till the first release of s2 alpha produced much more interesting content in a short time.
especially the lack of graphical updates (new tracks, new cars) are a reason why i am bored of lfs at this time. it's still the best sim out there. i just wish that the devs accept help from talented modders/trackbuilders to spice up lfs a little. e.g. there is still no decent rallycross car in lfs....(i don't get the point of rx-tracks without a rx car).
i think it's sad that such a good gameengine with so many opportunities isn't used as it could be.
sounds like you got all already figured out. so there is no need for evidence anymore.
why bother? it's ok if the forum admins like to check that out via PM but that witch hunt that happens EVERY time is annoying. it's not everyones business and it IS driving topics off topic (even if it's a drift topic).
if you want to be the police in the forum, contact mods/admins or "harrass" the criminal via pm.
don't use the "basic parcel service" option, if you really want to get your package.
mine was left by the delivering company on the stairs to the house i am living. it was ripped open and some #$§$%/&"§ now enjoys some new lfs shirts. i am not surprised, hundrets of pedestrains and thousands of cars are passing the entrance to my house each day.
the delivering company says that they don't need to deliver the package to anyone personally, not even the neighbors.
i purchased the stuff again, this time using the european parcel service.
i really would like to have one of these cars in lfs. i dont care very much for ice racing (andros),although i would like to have it too, but these cars......brilliant!
yep a group b monster is something different.....because it has more power ,a superlaggy engine, not very advanced differentials and a short wheel base.
put a audi sport quattro e2 engine in a renault 5 turbo maxi and you will have a much more devastating result.
i dont wan't to push this too far offtopic, but i really dont think that 4wd is the most difficult transmission type to drive at the limit. a good 4wd handles pretty neutral while the other car types understeer or oversteer.
if someone does not notice that his car is 4-wheel drifting he should worry about his perception, not his car.
i'll stop now, this is about lfs-balancing not about group b quattros.
you have to be pretty clumsy to do that telephone pole trick with a 4wd. in a rwd you would have spun seconds ago in a fwd you would have hit the tree 20 meters in front of the pole HEAD ON.......AND you just have to kick the brick from the throttle and you 4wd is stable again.....again, try that in a rwd.
driving a car at its limit is always difficult, but 4wd is definately the easiest choice.
i dont understand how the AI can help in balancing the cars. the AI is the most undeveloped part of lfs and its performance is very weak.
even if the AI is faster in one car, its still far away from the limit. the only thing such tests prove is that the particular AI that is used (it is known that each AI has a different performance on each track/car combo) is faster with one car and slower with the other one.
imho, the AI cannot be a benchmark for anything.
its like testing the performance of sportcars with jeremy clarkson on the wheel. thank god we have the stig.
so? if someone decides not to watch out and crashes into the non-moving car, it's his fault!
most of the time, you don't need to brake anyway. just watch out.
if you spun and you are sitting on the track, facing the wrong direction. just watch the map and DON'T move!
the following drivers see a yellow flag and they should'nt have any problems to avoid you, IF YOU DON'T MOVE! that's the worst thing you can do.
continue racing when there is no danger to others. this is a simulation, so don't shift+s.
ok, then lets see how many car/track-design improvements we got the last 2 years..... .
if we take the past development pace as a benchmark, i would estimat about half a year to build this track :P.
lol!! hehehe, didn't know that one. sadly there is not much material from these days out there, that doesn't show mostly crashes.
when schanche stepped out of the car and stopped the race by just standing in the middle of the track and waving his hands he showed how 'crazy' he can get . he was banned for the rest of the season though.
