he is the reigning Champion of 2005 actually too .
but ontopic:
i agree that the effect of dirt on the tyres seems not to be realistic. if this is about the intensity of the effect or about the length of it, i don't know.
i think, it is good to have the gtt in the demo. putting such a boring car like the fxo in would definately not REPRESENT lfs.
i think it's nice for demo racers to have a challenging car.
.....and i wonder why the fxo is still that fast. it seems the alpha testers of s2 haven't driven a single race in the tbo class :/. the balance is still terrible.
you definately CAN find your speed when driving offline (hotlapping), BUT i think driving offline can be really demotivating and i understand, why new racers do not want to practice offline (i didn't do that myself when i was new).
but when you are careful (yes i let the whole field pass the first times i tried racing on blackwood), you can have the enjoyment of battleing with other "learners" online without putting other racers in danger.
i think the overall behaviour on the demo servers isn't compareable with the licensed ones. most experienced fast racers on the s2 servers drive very fair. there are also some not so experienced but fast ones, who just don't know how to race.
this is weird, imho cars with roadtyres are much more controllable at the limit than cars with slicks. and the tyres won't fry just because you accidentally did a massive drift.
i really think it's easier.
a lx6 with slicks would leave the xfr and the ufr waaaaaaay behind.
in tbo and lrf you don't have the aero problems and an accidental bump won't spin off the one besides you (even a beginner can catch a slide in a xrt).
i really do enjoy racing in streetcars more than in racecars. the publics are definately better with streetcars. in GTRs half of the field is pitting after 1 lap.
great race . grats to everyone. the driving was much better than in the first event, very nice.
i really hoped that martin would catch the n! team, he did an incredible pace in his stints. but after all this was all about fun .
sorry for my english, my brain melted in a 8-hour-singstar-party yesterday :P.
@twister racing: i hope you won't quit. this race was much cleaner this time. i cannot say much about the incident that got you disqualified. just try again next time
i am not sure what you mean, but i think that lfs should have an alternate view to the normal spectator view. it's very difficult to present a race with these cameras e.g. via ESL-TV. there way too many cuts during a lap. most of the sequences are very short and too much focused on a single car.
having cameras placed like in reallive with a major use of zoom at long straights would be nice. the camera should focus more on the whole racers-field (simply by not zooming that much).
