i think the cars in enthusia indeed feel more real than the ones in gt4. but the game mode and doing the setups in that game is just terrible. some great tracks but also some really weird ones (arcadish).
gt4, many many beautiful cars (definately enough great cars besides the skylines) + VERY beautiful, fun tracks. i think the physics are, for a console game, quiet decent + lots of fun. it's a great game.
p.s.:
i have no dfp so i couldn't play the game with a real wheel. just with a RC-Car -style controller.
i use cockpit but i couldn't care less about what view other racers are using. if they race fair and clean they could even use helicopterview and i wouldn't bother.
i really don't understand why some ppl need to force their point of view ( ) on others.
the domination of the fxo never changed and i cannot understand the harm if they at least TRY to balance the tbo class.
or, just as i proposed in another thread: implement server controlled penalty weights for the classes. the community will manage the balancing in no time.
it's terrible what israel is doing down there. they haven't accomplished a big hit against the hisbollah yet and mostly kill civilians while destroying their homes.
hmm, most parts of the webpage won't work for me. i am using firefox .
...and i just wanted to check, if i am still a member.
wake me up when the webpage is working and i ll give it another try.
p.s.:
i don't see the point in releasing a not working website. it doesn't help the whole project.
after reading this thread, i would like to change my vote.
you have to see that you guys are somehow representing your team in this thread.
better manners and a little more reflection on your own posts could have definately improved your reputation. instead you mostly answered in a quiet immature way and managed to alienate even the most understanding users.
it seems to me that oval drivers aren't very confident in their own "skill". i cannot think of another reason they have to discuss this over and over, everytime it's brought up.
drinking a lot of beer without passing out can be trained too, but is that "skill"?
anyway, if someone wants to argue with me about that, i will say: "you know nothing!! you haven't drunk enough beer to have a clue about skill!"
but that wasn't SamH's point! he is saying that if you have an argument with someone else, you shouldn't point at his "stats" as a response, you should try to discuss.
p.s.:
i would say, oval racing requires a 0.08 skill level ( IN LFS! i have driven Nascar 2003, this IS challenging). zero is a little harsh. drag racing however requires only a 0.05 skill level.
you know that there are that few RWD rallycross cars because in most classes you need homoligated cars? there are just no homoligated RWD cars! except the little BMW (which isn't a good choice).
in classes where non-homoligated cars are allowed RWDs are as competetive as FWDs.
try the XRT and after that the FXO at blackwood rx. you will see that the fxo is far more stable, but with some experience (and a fair weight/power ratio) a XRT Driver definately can beat the FXO.
unfortunately the unfair advantage of the FXO is known since the first good setups in S1. unfortunately the devs chose to ignore this.
