handbrake is used to keep the car on the starting grid, so if removed, something new as to be brought to not have the car falling at Blackwood for example. But yes, clearly, using handbrake to be quicker (and it is real) on the race cars we have is silly
Maybe giving them a very low (Nm) force associated with a kind of lag when using it through a buton (I know this will not calm cheaters for long ...) could cure this (invalidating hotlapping is one (good) thing, but if in multiplayer it still allows people to go quicker, the issue is not solved)
Happy new year all ! Hope you will be fine and enjoy life even more than in 2015
I wish too my best to the LFS team. I hope the launch of S3 is bringing you satisfaction and motivation for the future

Was it not supposed to be a holiday period for you Scawen ?
The system looks good.
But that is signing the end of FE6 shortcut, and the use of knobbly tires ... sad , you will have to consider putting a mud track in S3 ^^
seeing the laptime of other supercars mentionned on the site, it is a road car driven with road tires (most probably not even semislick tires knowing the production date, as opposed to lots of very modern supercars that are delivered with semislicks in aim to make competitive laptime when driven by journalists/testers). Compare it with a tuned FZ50 turbo, but not with a race car with penalties : it still not compete in the same class at all.
Totally agreee. Rockingham ROCKS !!!!
17€ for the fun I had, I have and I will have are peanuts !!!
And if that can motivate even more Scavier, then I am even more pleased to spend that money !
Since VWS announcement and all the stories that follows, you can understand that Scavier are not willing to promise stuffs anymore.
Note that Scawen already stated that Eric has 2 tracks at a high level of built (do not know if Rockingham was included or not ... I suppose not), so we can expect them to be released in a near future (S3).
Another car is mentionned on the first Rockingham announcement ... maybe there are more already at an advanced stage (do you remember Victor saying they may plan to release a rally pack : most probaly some stuffs were already done). But definetly, S3 will not be composed from "only" one track.
And if you follow Scawen's activities recently on the forum, you cannot suppose the team is demotivated and is willing only to get some cash and say bye bye the day after.
Small note : when doing hotlapping on Sportcar config for example, if you do not take the first chicane and go through the cones (without touching them), you are still HLVC ok.
Eric : you did a brilliant job there too . The track is very nice. Having 11 combinations is simply awsome !!
I think you do not look the right way for this. Yes AC team brought us the Nordschleife for a ridiculous price ... but it was a content limited to this and the 10 cars delivered then. And the DLC was named "Dream Pack 1" ... and so you know the story : there is no end to this last digit (Note1 : I will most probably by all of them ... Note2 : may be Kunos devs have stated there is an end somewhere, but I do not know).
Here, up to now, the LFS team is stating they plan to stop at S3 level. Even if I would not bother paying for more contents in the future, it may not happen in the end. By purchasing S3 you are buying the full product and additional contents that will/may be delivered for free. Isn't this a good deal ? I personnally think yes.
PS : I am, for a longtime, ready to pay for a rally pack
I know one guy that, yesterday, was doing hotlaps with AC on Brands Hatch with a 1200hp Lamborghini and a 458 aswell ...
if he knew Rockingham was already available, he would have spent £12 sooner and waste its time differently
Just to say : OMG !!! I was 'only' expecting snapshots of S3 for x-mas ...
The £24 already spent many years ago were largely profitable for a very very long time ago. Glad to spend more . take my money and have an happy Christmas all !!!
I gave it a try. I thought I could drift it like a pro, but it has ended often into the grass , probably overestimating myself . But I think it can be quite nice with some practice.
I like the Gallardo : as crap/good to drive as I was expecting . Quite bad feeling under braking and corner entry, but then the awd system is helping you to put the pedal to the floor on corner exit. Same feeling as for the R8 and GTR, this make me enjoy even more the 458 when I take it just after
I took briefly the Lotus 25 ... but GP Legends memories make me to not appreciate it so much ... do not know what I was expecting, but I did not find it to my taste ...
Brands Hatch is very nice at first sight. Quite narrow and not so easy to find the correct lines with lots of elevation changes. I will have to learn !!
yep, the Live For Speed (the first) is the "Main" folder. I kept some other versions for nostalgia / replays (demo...), and the "current" version is called "Live For Speed" again
Houston, I have a problem in J3.
I just used the self-extracted file to update to J3 (previously had J2, and kept the exe file), and I got a BSOD on memory (my recent upgrade with 2x 8Go of RAM added to my previous 4Go one is most probably guilty, as when I use only one of the 8Go it is ok).
What is my mistake now ? some files have been deleted during the crash ? Should I do a proper install again ?
Now that you say this ... I probably mix with the Dream pack 1 content ... Seems it is 7 cars (each time less than the previous ... cheaper than Dream pack 2 ? ) for sure.
Seems :
Lotus 25 1963
Lotus 72D
McLaren 650 GT3
Mercedes AMG GT3
Abarth 500 Assetto Corsa
Ford Escort MK1
Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera
to be noted that on a screenshot promotting the famous R8, we can see a C7 doing the pace car (I may be wrong, but it seems), and the car next to it on the right is not looking like an R8, more a Porsche imo ... Could be a surprise .
Add this to the Audi TT Race car they are integrating ...
I do not see it as a successor, but even with its flaws, it is very very good sim in my opinion. Awsome graphics and very good feelings for most of the cars.
To be tested deeply for all simracing fans
If I read correctly, seems that the dream pack 3 will be available en of this week or next week, including :
Brands Hatch track (laserscanned)
10 cars https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBIlPF4W3g8
some are visible in the video ... some remain unknown
No price it seems up to now ...
