What I found strange when I use it the first (and only time) time, is that the handbrak is very efficient. I would have supposed it would have worked like the rallycar of the time : as the center diff does not open, this one would make the car to not turn properly by having some effects on the front wheels ... here it looks like a modern rallycar doing 180° instantaneously !
Other than that, the kind of soft supsension is quite funny, as the car has lots of grip with quite poor tires.
GTR seems to handle perfectly according to what testers wrote : crap chassis, crap handling, good traction, understeer most of times, super tires making the car very efficient especially in slow corners
I like it anyway, but I prefer driving the 458 for example.
The Toyota GT86's handling is very nice. Looks like a race car
The Audi is a beast from the past, very nice. The Miura is kind of undriveable as I was expecting, the Mito is a nice small car. A high powered FWD with soul would maybe be a nice addition (like a Ford Focus as they got a Ford license if I am right)
1.2 available now ... but Steam is still not begining the download at home ... (planned in 1 hour it is written)
Aswell there is a 50% discount on AC for those who would not have crossed the line
edit : uh : the GTR is weighting 1370Kg ...
While I agree with the Hypercar tires (providing the car very high performnce in laptime comparing to classical manufacturers of supercars), the weight displayed is 'mad' (300-400kg less than the real car)
What I mean, is that I did not find an option speaking about power saving.
I saw in the catalyst stuff lots of things about overclocking the proc of the gpu, maybe it could have an impact like vitaly_m said, but never touched to this ! And not planning to . If disabling VSync is good workaround, I see no problem using this.
I will do the test in windowed mode in aim to check the cpu usage of the gpu if the issue is reproducing as easily as yesterday evening.
...
edit:
I still got some weird drop of framerate (using Vsync with a 60Hz monitor) when at some places in WE ...
only noticed with external camera.
I forgot to perform the test without VSync enabled, and this release of H3 made me remember to do the test :
fps are lowering slightly in the part where I (often) got the 'drop' (when starting a spr replay on WE5R with ext. cam., after the second corner (before the lap is started)) without VSync (like going 166 while it was 200 before),
but when it is with VSync enabled, fps are going from 60 to ~30 ...
RedBull Ring is quite beautiful into your vid.
For those who had missed the annoucement, the Bonus pack (=free) is coming in July and will contain :
Alfa Romeo Mito Quadrifoglio Verde
Audi Sport Quattro
Lamborghini Miura
Nissan Nismo GT-R
Toyota GT-86
Circuit of Zandvoort
After few hours (yes, it is not "instant") driving some supercars in AC, you will enjoy driving in it (big fan of LFS speaking)
At least, I have been able to do WRs on RSR with rwd (in fact there are almost only rwd cars in AC ... this is the problem), what in LFS is almost out of scope for me . After beeing a bit used to it, the handling is quite good for the cars I have tested (I admit that some are behaving quite strangely), and it looks like what you can read about the real car : a good point. As currently, having cars in LFS behaving correctly (I mean how a real car would) is not so possible, so having AC doing the thing quite well (not in 100% cases for sure ) is a very good thing !!
Never tested rf2.
...about fifty additional cars officially licensed will be included in Assetto Corsa during 2015...
This makes almost 1 car per week as an objective (since the begining of the year)... Were they very optimists ? Will we get many cars at once (except for the dream pack dlc, I do not know if it was the case before) ?
Just wondering ... ^^
I quote myself ...
30 weeks left 'til the end of the year, 10 cars released in the DLC in March ... Looks like time for some releases
