Big grin . I understand, since I am 16 and did a nice crash going downhill, I am no more able to drive a bike downhill ... too scary Big grin (even my daughters are doing me crazy when they go quick), so seeing those guys doing this is a real pleasure as a spectator Big grin . Mountain biking seems an excellent hobby Thumbs up
I compensate with my c63 amg, it is going quick whatever the slope of the road is, and I am not afraid thanks to LFS Tongue to have teach me how to drive Thumbs up

Quote from Flotch :...I will take some pictures when I will find the camera.
...

I forgot to do it, so while I am on vacations in Aussois doing some hiking with family (search for marmots !!), there was a mountain biking contest near where we rent a flat. It was not that hot this morning, add being a spectator, the long sleeves were a good choice Smile
No 'Scawen Roberts' inside, but I share aswell some pictures of those frenzy guys Thumbs up

NB : car speaking, the roads in the Alps are just excellent ! Heart

Quote from PlSTOL :Hi, I recently installed this game, All circuits have inverse mode but Rockingham which has only 1 side to go, is it ok or is it a bug? why does this circuit only have 1 side to go?

It is supposed to be driven only in one way irl, and so the kerbs/barriers are not adapted to reverse driving.

edit :
Quote from Scawen :I don't really know what you mean by a licensing thing. I suppose you imagine we wanted to do it, asked Rockingham and they denied it. But no such conversation took place! It's simply that we don't want to add unrealistic things if possible. Reverse configs at real tracks are often dangerous because of the design of the barriers. Using the recently added start positions, we think you can simply use a layout to create reverse configurations.

indeed, the reaction is ... Uh-hu
Big Eye

anyway, the game/sim is so much popular (for the target it should have) and bring to the guys doing it so much money, that it may let them think they are a bit above God Ya right
... and I tend to have the same feeling than the guy describing the stuff Big grin , something is wrong when applying brake gently in a corner Wave

Quote from Boris Lozac :Finally someone 'gets' how a track should look like on a bright sunny day

I have taken the track (Circuit Paul Ricard), and it is indeed very very nice ! Never drove on the real track to make a comparison, but seeing the lines to take on onboard videos over internet, and seeing you have to do the same in AC makes the experience very pleasant ! Top work from the people who did this Thumbs up

ScaryWtich probably mean a "made by a 5yo boy".

Anyway, I can understand the feeling you may have ScaryWtich, but there is a simple thing : you do not make peace with your friends, only your ennemies.
Scavier are doing a correct move I think, as per today's world, it is not in the hands of a very small company to remove all crackers all over the earth.
For having beeing insulted by Victor, give us a proof with the context Wink

Quote from Scawen :I was wondering if the LFS World windows could be something like tabs on this site. Perhaps so you could have a few open at time in different tabs, remembering their own state, without the need to use browser tabs.

We are used to be surprised by Victor Big grin . Indeed it is a very good idea. Thumbs up
And Victor, while you will be at it, do not forget to add a filtering by car class aswell for the hotlap chart, not only cars (I mean for example seeing XFR/UFR hotlaps mixed, and having the raf viewer available directly for those cars) Thumbs up

nothing very explicit, but I guess :
Quote from Scawen :...
It was done for the rear wheel drive cars with macpherson strut suspension on the front, actually using a few lines of code from the new tyre physics version.

I found the Audi a bit strange. Maybe that is because I was expecting a rally stage Big grin , and Highlands is very very wide and you can reach very very high speed ... not so "rally". Anyway, I am having lots of fun on it. For those who did not yet tried, it is an awsome "road track" ! I have uploaded some videos showing the 4 configurations :

I like how it is done. I hope we can have such things in LFS one day Big grin

Real cars bring the advantage to have something concrete to compare (about performances, display, sounds, etc ... ), and have some epic drives. For example, run AC with some supercars AI, and clearly having Porsche's, Lamborghini's, Ferrari's and whatever else it proposes going mad on tracks is a total beauty (ok, there are much stuffs not so good in AC of course).
But on the principle, I agree, I do not care about having licensed contents. Having a good physics on the other hand is a must, and LFS ones has some very bad flaws in it, that makes the drive not so pleasant as it could (will) be.

Quote from Sobis :I just wondered Scawen, how different does dirt feel in the new tyre physics? I'm not asking for details, I'm just wondering is the change in dirt driving similar to the change on asphalt? I remember Eric using the word "visceral feel", can the same be applied to dirt?

Something close to RBR for dirt Thumbs up

In mutiplayer, it is not needed to compute the physics of other cars : the computer of the other player is already doing it. The positions have to be known in a fair amount of time to display the cars in the correct places for you. So 100Hz, 1000Hz, or 10kHz, no matter.
