Trouble is I'm not creating Word or PDFs of the track guides at this stage. I just create them straight off as a webpage. I may do this at a later date but for now you'll just have to visit the site. The next guide should be done tonight with any luck and the images will be far smaller so the page should load a lot quicker.
btw it's worth registering in the forum. That way you'll receive emails of latest news like the publication of new track guides and setups.
Posting here because PM is turned off for you Victor.
I'm sure you're busy right now with patch X but I need a new subsection set up in the leagues section if possible.
The league is called 'The Gentlefoot Challenge' (GFC) and the website is www.gentlefoot.com/LFS
Is a dual class formula with FOXs and FO8s on track together Strict rules and penalties mean drivers score more points of they don't hit other cars. First meeting is scheduled for this coming Sunday.
Is it possible to get a banner ad or something for it for the forum?
I only appear to have your championship entry so far mate. No entry for the event on the 27th recieved as yet. Are you competing?
There is an entry for each individual event because there are more championship entries than grid slots. The idea is that people will not make all events but we still want full grids.
First come first served basis for each event with a reserve list.
Nope - no handicaps for FO8s. The whole point of my event is so that the fast cars have to negotiate the slower cars. Like when LMPs at Le Mans come up behind GTs etc.
Preparations for the first Gentlefoot Formula Challenge are nearing completion.
There will be a 'dry run' event to be held on May 27th at 20:00 GMT (21:00 BST). Go to http://www.gentlefoot.com/LFS/forum/index.php and register on the forum. You will then be able to sign up for this event by sending me a PM stating your LFS Name, screen name and what car you will be driving (if you haven't entered the championship already).
All the information about the event is in the GFC forum.
Well the sever is always open for public racing. Difficulty is holding a long race without having formal entries - hence doing like this so that people have a couple of weeks to sign up.
But I'll surely be on FE Club for the next couple of weeks developing a set and practicing. I'm sure there'll be a few of us.
But yeah - I may do some short notice unofficial practice runs of say 30 laps or whatever with free entry.
In the forum there are now additional tips for the Track Guide added by Storm_cloud who is much faster than me. Also it was suggested that some comments should be made about the best places to pass and the most likely spots for accidents so I have also added in my thoughts about this. If anyone has any good experience racing on this circuit please feel free to contribute.
I will add a lot more content to the site this weekend. In the forum I have stated what my plans are. The next bit of work I do will be to do with the Gentlefoot Formula Challenge. I plan to add the rules for this in this weekend in anticipation that the patch X may arrive next week - yippee!
If you don't you will not recieve important information about the Championship as I am not sending any more LFS Forum PMs to only 5 people at a time and having to wait 60 seconds between posts.
Hope you get it sorted mate. There will be some rules regarding lag. i.e. if you are too laggy you won't be able to compete. So make sure you get it sorted dude cos I want you on the grid.
