Quote from DarkTimes :That's a pretty good point, actually. Although it could never happen, it would be utterly fascinating to put the bottom six drivers into a top car to see what sort of lap times they could muster.

Definately. D'Ambrosio in the Virgin didn't even make the limit on his homeland GP...

New faces at nfinity eSports Racing!

Firstly we have Dutchman Rens Broekman, Rens is a Top 5 driver from the iRacing V8 Championship and previously destroyed the title runners in the last round to take the round win in dominating style.

Next we have Kevin Parrish, Kevin is a very faster driver in both road and oval and regining STC champion, Kevin will make a great addition to our team as we grow on the oval side.

Dennis Lind needs no introduction as most here will know him, Dennis raced Formula Fords and ADAC and is looking for his next racing adventure.

Aussie Scott U'Ren is another familiar face to some of the team, Scotty used to race in the old MNR leagues in LFS and was always a faster and consistent driver.

Finally we have Kelvin Van Der Linde, Kevin hails from South Africa and races in his national series. Very fast for a youngster, he might just be the next Darryn Lobb or Zaahir Essa!

We are also pleased to announce our youngest signing ever: Kelvin's younger brother Sheldon will be joining his brother and ourselves for the coming seasons. Sheldon was spotted in a Star Mazda race along side the likes of Kelvin, Raymond and Kenneth. Sheldon took the win with Raymond and Kenneth close behind and also lapped his older brother, now here is the shocker... Sheldon is only 12 years old.

Great race indeed afterall, yet I can't shake the feeling that the double DRS zone robbed us from even better racing. Real racing, where turning the wheel counts for a lot more than pushing a button on time... Nevertheless the end results are all in all fair I'd say. Hell of a race for Button and Schumi (shows he still gots it, Rosberg is only 11th)!

A second point to measure the main straight DRS should have been used, it was obvious before the race even started.

The blown diffuser stuff is appearantly not good by the FIA, but not immediately banned. Leaving a door wide open for mudfest and appeals in which stewards have to decide, where with the same breath they say they wouldn't want to ban half the grid if such a protest would get approved and as such a protest would be in vain. What?! They're making a mess of it again...

Either you put an end to it or either you allow it. But this "it is not allowed but you can get away with it" policy is just a mess.

And about that Ferrari wing; why don't they do such approval checks before it is being used and installed on a car? Or after a first practice session - a lot faster? I'm not into the technical stuff either, but I agree on the Ferrari wing ban. But with the theory that it violates height of the wings rule, shouldn't the RBR front wing be banned too as afaik our F1 commentator said it came on track below the limit, but by a specific system gets put high enough for the end race checks.

Quote from Deejayyaj :BIG NO!!!

1)Its hard to connect on steam
2)Eat lots of memory (graphic interface and too many flash ads)

Do you even know what Steam is? It's like super easy to use, gives a lot of exposure to less known games, allows easy friendlist useage and you simply minimilize steam when playing. There are no flash ads or other at all involved.

I only see benefits to the game.

Quote from Intrepid :I highly doubt d'ambrosio isn't bringing some major sponsorship. Why would Virgin sack a guy like Di Grassi to have to re-invest time and resources bringing another rookie up to standard. It doesn't really make sense.

True, but the budget he brings along is not even half of what some other contenders could bring forward.

Looking forward to 2013 with the new tech changes then! :o

D'Ambrosio signs with Virgin!
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/88740

Awesome, finally a Belgian racing at Spa in a F1 again! Hope he can indeed perform, even though "it only is a Virgin". At the friday tests last year he was very close to more experienced Glock his pace. Curious how he'll do the actual racing!

Glad to see Virgin thinking ahead and on talent, instead of on money!

Quote from DevilDare :FIA Gala 2010. Formula 1 video.

As usual, incredible piece of work. Captures the amazing season of 2010 really well. Tears, comedy, action...

Who's the girl at 4:32?

Otherwise, "okay video"... not enough racing in it though and too much hollywood.

Quote from The Very End :Alltho I don't agree on all parts of this post, it has some points.
For example, even if the work goes on as usuall - nothing to report, the developers could interact more with their fans. They could host a league, championship, events etc, to keep in touch with their fan base. The LX event hosted some time back proved to be a huge success, and that is what the developers need to do in times like this.

Sure, we can bitch and whine all we want, but it won't change anything. The developers have their way (who most of their fans disagree with) of developing the game, and I don't think we'll see a patch before 2011/2012, but that does not mean the game have to seem dead.

Come on Scavier, entertain us! Host a league, make a fun quiz competition or anything, interact with your fans more, that's at least what I want.

Again, there are allways those who will completely bash the game no matter what you do, don't listen to them because their not the mayority. But please don't punish everyone by letting the people be left out in the cold without dialogue / information / contact between the userbase and the developers.

Agreed. Most of those bashing haven't even tried all cars or track combo's (or just did all that over and over aliens they are). LFS still has plenty to do and entertain, just interact more with us.

In the end, the great games which last the test of time are those with a wonderful community and receiving (small but omnipresent) love of their devs.

I assume you are talking about Alonso-Petrov
yes that technically happened, but because it was a race for position, not bc it was a Renault team... totally ok. I would have been pissed if Petrov had moved over, that's just not right.

Also, but I think that we all know that both aspects played a huge factor.

All these "Renault" teams... Hope we don't see too much happening of what we saw in last GP... Renault teams blocking to let another Renault backed team gain victory ect...

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :So would D'Ambrosio if he has an opportunity for the Virgin slot. Gravity said they could gather a few millions for him.

I belive they didn't give money for the Renault test though.

True, but D'Ambrisio's budget is ~5M. While competition can bring in minimal 10M euros. Eitherway, I think if Virgin truly wishes to continue their performance as strong rookie team, they have to pick quality over money - cause otherwise they'll just end up wrong as the past has proven. Of course I'm biased, but it would be nice to see him in a "just a Virgin".

He got the Renault test as a reward for "being the most impressive of Renault's junior drivers during the 2010 season".
