Scawen, now that you are relaxing from LFS and have more free time, you should do some sports. Looking at the pics you could really need some exercise, like going biking (the one where you have to pedal by yourself).
Yep, that would probably look even better. My image was only an example of how you could do it. I hope that someone who is more talented in photoshopping will give it a try.
Great shots, but the image quality could be better. You should try to disable the track LOD reduction, because most textures aren't shown. Enabling anit aliasing would also help to improve the quality.
It's really nice to see the lfs wiki growing. There is already a lot of content, but some areas still need some work. If you want to help, take a look at the following points which need to be done:
I'd like to pay a visit to the UK and take part in the race.
With so many people interested, would it be possible to make teams of three drivers and increase the race length? At our karting event in germany we did this several times and it worked out quite well.
15.8.2005:
- Presenting LFS at the Logitech & 4Players booth in Leipzig with several raceseats and the latest Logitech force feedback wheels. (Halle 5, Stand C42, www.gc-germany.de)
- LFS Preview at 4Players.de and in the 4Players print magazine which will be available for free at the Games Convention
- Some mouth-to-mouth advertising at the Formula Student Event in Germany, several teams are interested to put their car in LFS
- Some e-mails to german gaming magazines, I hope they will write a nice preview and put the S2 alpha on their cover discs
I've started a LFS Wiki to work on a manual for LFS S2. The idea is, that everybody who is interested in LFS and has some knowledge, can contribute to the manual. When you are interested in the project, feel free to visit the page and start writing. Don't be shy, you can do nothing wrong, thanks to how the wiki system works (it's always possible to restore an older version). You don't even need to register, just click on "edit" and start writing.
A PDF version of the manual is now available here.
If there's enough interest, maybe there will even be a printed version of the manual.
