As long as you don't want moving suspensions and wheels, such a car shouldn't need more physic calculations than a simple cone. A cone can be hit and move around as well. The only problem would be, that a hit car would disappear after some seconds.
I'm also getting some FPS loss when looking back. It happened e.g. at Kyoto National at the end of the pitlane. The host (STCC) was using a layout, so this could be the cause. Don't know if it's a new problem though.
So is it really realistic, that the GTI and FXO go faster (with less understeer) through a corner if you are on full throttle? I would expect the exact opposite, because of a) the weight transfer to the rear when accelerating and b) the wheels sliding more.
I think the wind volume shouldn't be increased in the external (TV) view. It sounds a bit odd, that you hear more wind than road/engine noise from outside. Same goes for the skid volume in the internal (cockpit) view, imo it's too loud now.
I think the main problem is, that people don't test what the FPS difference really is. If you want to check the FPS, you can e.g. use Fraps which will show your average FPS. You can load a replay with the old LFS.exe and the new one and will see exactly if/how the FPS changes.
If you post those average FPS numbers together with your system config it may help to track down the cause. But just saying "LFS runs slower now" doesn't help much.
Is this the monthly "when do we get the next patch"-thread?
Just be patient! The recent two patches have both been compatible, so only small things and fixed could be included. I'm pretty sure, that we will get some bigger changes and maybe new game content as well with the next big incompatible patch.
Thanks, I just wanted to point out the same. As far as I know LFS and rFactor did both start to work with Intel at about the same time. So it's not LFS first and rFactor second but both first.
If you click on "Germany" on that page, you will see some nice Live for Speed screenshots.
He's not the only one. Amazingly there are a lot of people still using patch U and asking me / posting in the forum why they cannot unlock / don't see many players online.
I think the crowds are several 3d objects in the track file, so it's not possible to edit them, unlike e.g. GPx where they were placed dynamically depending on the session type (training or race).
