There are several unfinished and probably scrapped tracks that I know of:
- Miami Vice (it's NOT South City!)
- Docklands (take a look at the skyscrapers, if you know the real Docklands in London!)
- Bluemountain (yes, the mountain does indeed look blue)
- An unamed stunt track (STUNTS anynone?)
Wow, that track marshal was extremely lucky. Could have been smashed by that car as well. That's probably the reason why they usually need to get an ok from race control to go onto the track in F1.
Nurembergring - Nürburgring
[This track isn't located in Nuremberg, but around the Nürburg castle. There is a temporary city track in Nuremberg, but this one is called Norisring.]
People are just underestimating how slippery ice really is, it happens in Germany as well. The last time we had ice here (so called "Blitzeis" ) I could watch a car sliding right into the hedge in front of our house. Some years earlier the same thing happened just one street further down the hill.
It's the same like with the storm we had two days ago. People still go outside and drive their cars and some of them get hurt/killed (6 kills just in Germany) by driving full speed into a tree on the road. Why can't people just stay inside when there are dangerous conditions? illepall
Imo the slogan isn't about bashing EA or the Need for Speed games in particular, it's more making fun of all that Fast & Furious Underground ricer stuff. Bashing those games/players using their language makes the slogan a bit ironic as well, not to be taken too serious.
I wouldn't buy a shirt with something like "EA sucks" on it, but "NFSU? STFU" is just a funny slogan, nothing more.
P.s. Actually I did play Need for Speed (1 - 3) a lot as well as other EA games (Zany Golf , Black & White, GTR, Sim City, ...).
The programmer Mark Healey worked together with Scawen and Eric on Black & White and is credited as "early contributor" in LFS as well. Just like LFS, Rag Doll Kung Fu started as a hobby project, turned into something serious later on and you can only buy it as a download.
Why do you ask "why", when you write the explanation in the next line? Instead of posting here, try to contact the STCC admins and tell them the story.
Yes, maybe it's indeed faulty or overheating memory. With my new Radeon X1800 mobile (128 MB as well) I didn't get any problems yet.
Overheating memory could make sense as the problem seems to occur more frequently with high-res textures. More textures -> more load on the memory -> more heat. Sounds logical to me.
I'm against it. Everybody should be able to explain himself how he wants to. If that swearing is combined with rough behaviour, you can still kick him manually. Or did any of you see a racedriver getting a penalty because of swearing on the pit radio?
