I can host the movies on our live-for-speed.de FTP. What I cannot do is to enable user upload, so new movies would have to be uploaded manually.

Edit: Back to topic. I think that the Formula XR should be added to the demo to represent one of the formula cars. So the car choice would be GTI, GT Turbo, Formula XR.

The current LFS to be honest doesnt stress much current or even some years old graphic cards really much.I had same FPS on ATI8500 as on the current GF6600(now low end card) except I am now able to use 4xAA+16AF without penalty to FPS drop.

At the end I have to say that LFS has really nice graphic and I am enjoying it but sometimes I would like use more...better textures(for example Don`s and Kidcodeas`s hires sky packs)etc.

Its not that I am negative about current LFS 3d engine.

Yeah, I have nothing against adding new features to the LFS engine. What I wanted to say is, that I don't think removing optimizations just for the sake of it would be any good.

Why do you want the 3D engine to use more of your PC's power? I think it's great how good the LFS graphic engine runs even on old PCs. Just compare S2 with the first demo test 0.04k. The current version runs a lot faster despite increased track and car details. I think that's a great archievment.

The strange thing WGooden reported isn't the force view. Take a close look at the second screenshot, there only the helmet but not the driver body is visible.

You can still change the tracks live, just like before with /track. The /tracks command is only an additional feature to limit the available tracks with a textfile.

I just had a crash (T3) which is related to a graphic error I got since some weeks. I think the graphic error is related to some bug in the ATI drivers, because it already happened with S2Q. Just posting the crash address here anyway, maybe you can see where exactly it crashes.

To the graphic problem: It happens after some time when switching between windowed and full screen several times (e.g. for screenshots). Suddenly the game begins to stutter and all textures seem to get flushed. The FPS goes down to about 1 FPS or less and it either crashes or I have to exit LFS with the task manager.

It happens to other people as well, all having an ATI card of the 9600-9800 range.

This screenshot is from the viewer, but it looks exactly the same in-game:

Tyre heating is ok in my opinion. What should be changed are two things:
- Start out of the pits so you have a complete lap to warm up your tyres.
- Invalid hotlap when driving backwards, just like it's now in online mode.

Try to set "Port 80 1" in the cfg.txt. Maybe you are connected through some kind of proxy.

The FF has't changed at all. If it feels different then it's either a different setup or a different car.

The texts were allright, the problem was with the layout files. I've uploaded the three fixed layouts in the post above.

Looks like the red/white barriers have been replaced by cones with the Aston update.

I've now fixed the three Aston lessons. Just unzip the archive in your /lesson directory.

In the german lfs forum there have been reports about CTDs as well. Unfortunately without any error messages.
