That sounds interesting, maybe I'll go to Austria on Saturday/Sunday. Unfortunately I'm going to write two university tests on Monday, so that's not certain yet.
Anyway, good job Tristan! If needed I can help with some translations or the production of S2 demo CDs.
Nothing special about the rainy pics in my opinion, I can't even see any realistic spray there. For me the rain in Grand Prix 4 (2002) looked much better with wet/dry patches on the road and not just some super-reflective ice.
Edit: And a pic of GP3's (2000) rain which in my opinion looks better as well.
Scawen did make some posts here recently, just no progress reports. I guess he's working on the physics, so there's not much to tell except things like "yesterday I tested two different formulas for calculating the correct wind resistance depending on the suspension height". But well, that would be at least a small news
Btw, patch Q isn't even 2 months old yet, it's just that this patch didn't include any major updates for most players.
Well, Victor is the sound man in the team and I guess he has enough experience to create better sounds - I just can't understand why we didn't see new sounds or musics from him for such a long time.
By the way, I've just sorted my music archive and put all RBDJ songs together I could find: 58 songs, correctly named including cover images. If you are interested, I can upload them somewhere.
I've also sorted all songs by Vic, 25 all in mp3 or aac format
I think LFS has a problem with simulating friction values of the tyre when you are driving on the tyrewall. This is exactly what happens here, after hopping over a curb. Instead of decreased friction because of the much lower contact area, it increases a lot (the peaks in your graph) and causes the high g values or a flip in the worst case. I've already tested this behaviour quite some time ago and got similar results.
Unfortunately I only received one cover so far. As there is no sight of a new LFS version yet, I think it's ok to extend the competition until the end of january.

LFS is not open source, why arguing about it? Asking Scawen to release the source code of LFS is like asking Microsoft to release the source code of Windows.
There are already some open source "simulations" out there, so why don't you play and improve them?
Ok, so now we already have some high-res textures (skies, driver suits, braking discs). If you are interested, I could put them all in one installer and upload the file as a test.
