Yes, there are windows darker than those who ship with S2 and Viewer.
But, I have not seen any modifications whose windows are only have as "opaque" as the "stock" windows on the cars.

At least, if I want an FPS drop I'd like to see a bit more <in a non sick manner>!

Of course it's a WIP and open to suggestions- IMO the XRR is one of the most underdriven and underskinned cars.

As an attempt for 'be different' (I was desperate) I cleaned up an image of one of the OS-tans and placed it down the side (is there any stretching?)...

I might do this for the other cars, but I will stick with XRR 'til I'm happy with it- and if others want it too.

While I was trying to tame the FZR today, when I have button sensitivity to 2, the power is easier to control, however my brakes almost felt like nothing... IMO, it might be a nice feature to put in, since it can allow (non-wheel) users like I to adjust brakes/throttle independent of each other.

I race more often but will drift for the fun of it. I'm not exactly good at either so it doesn't matter too much !!

Maybe there should be a thread to praise the Developers of LFS S2. I'm not sure if there already is one, but if this should be one then I'll say :

Getting S2 soon. I am probably going to consider using the XFR and FZ50 when I do, so I've decided to make skins for these two cars (nothing really fancy enough for steal but something better than using the custom "color index" for the (normal) two-tone paintjobs that nearly all cars use by default...

If you wonder how I got my hands on South City, it's really photoshopped, x_SO.jpg was the original image (you find in pic folder), and I used S2 Viewer to get the XFR.

Perhaps not scary for those of you that drive those uber BF1-type cars 24/7, but it certainly is for me :

I was in an Audi R8 (LMP, not the turdish production car) racing in a huge endurance race (fictional). So, I feel fine for about 15 laps... until...

BOUM ! My steering AND brakes fail at the same time... My car drives right into a cliff wall who destroys my front-right (at this point I'm still "alive" somehow), then flying through trees with the car in flames. The car came to a dead stop hard and hit a wall...

For a second, I think : Oh nuts... I feel blood, gushing out my head...
But then, I realise it's all a dream - or more rather, a nightmare.

since I'm getting S2 in a few days, I also would like to know cars who are both popular and easy to control. Tracks are nice as well but it's mainly a car's issue as I don't want to drive RAC and/or MRT only to find it's very difficult/unpopular...

I regret putting the GTR affix to my username, makes me sound like a ISI-based 'sim' fanboy and not an LFS one...

Seeing the lack of a competitor for the UF1 is somewhat awkwards for me...
I think, that "kei-cars" similar to the Mazda AZ-1 and Suzuki Cappuccino would make some good competitors for the UF1, and would also keep up the pattern of a FWD/(front engine)RWD/(mid/rear engine)RWD/4WD pattern seen in most of the other classes. Although, I'm not sure if the XF and UF GTR's need any more competition.

Buy S2 only to find the servers are equally as bad (or worse, 20+ car grid!?) as demo?

The content sounds great and all (can't say no to a _proper_ racing varient of my favorite demo cars!), but with 20+ cars on track at once (I hear,) the T1 pile-up possiblities get worse because it's VERY simple:
more cars = less room = more possible aggressive drivers = greater possiblity of a T1 pileup.
And through that little theory, I'd find that to get good racing I'd have to join a league!
And I have no time for that!

LFS is so good that all S2 Licensed racers are elitist towards all demo racers.

It's maybe not a suggestion for LFS itself but it is maybe a suggestion for S2 players. If I said hi on the forum as a demo racer I sure as hell would not like the entire population of S2 users jumping on me just for being a demo racer. No wonder why I see posts by all the same folks, they are there to scare what might be future S2-licenced users.

It's just the way the devs are?

Only thing that isn't so great isn't being able to have 16 cars on grid, or not having 24 connections and 12 on track at once.

If that were done then it I wouldn't really need so much out of a demo.

By numberplate I meant the part of which a racing car's number is displayed.

Although I am a demo racer and I have not raced AS4, I do know that locked tyres at the front is usually, because one either:

a) brakes are set too high
b) brakes too hard (user error)
c) tries to steer too hard (not smooth enough)
or
d) has their brake bias set too far to the front...

Do also try to avoid getting on the gas to early as this can cause some pretty huge oversteer and if you don't know how to countersteer then... eh... say hello to the nearest wall.
