Rallycross or banger racing?

Wonder if one could use this in an online server. Hmm, 450bhp rallycross cars, anyone? I mean, come on, it probably won't be until S3 that the devs will create proper rallycrossing cars. It's fine if it won't though...

EDIT: When loading a preset the engine size is "reset" to 0. Me did something wrong or is this really a bug?

You know, the FBM can't be enjoyed by _only_ S2 licenced users.

A really luxurious interior or a really fun to drive performance?
(YOU CAN'T HAVE BOTH)

Go ahead. It does not offer that much advantage over the FBM anyways.

Technically I can't post this, but I will anyway.
This is a "power lap" featuring a 'XF-TC', a XFR with a 80 kg weight ballast. It's for a class that is in the works right now. It can't go much faster than the FBM, least in my hands.
NOTES:
- Attached is a skin file. You need it in order to view the XFTC replay properly.
- If you want to use the XFTC, just use a 80 kg ballast.
- For the FXTC (rival to XFTC), use 47% intake restrictions.
- For the XRTC (opponent to XFTC), use 46% intake and 100 kg ballast.
- Try the UF-BabyR. 45% intake restriction.

The XRR has always been a favorite of mine, CTRA GT2 restricted or not. I hate having to skin it though (those rear quarterpanels ), but other than that nothing beats a good old FR machine. Then again you could say XRT is my favorite too.
For skinning it is almost always the XFR or the FZR due to their fluent and simple design.
For drifting it is always the FZ5 since I use power-over style of making oversteer rather than the brake...

[MINOR] DISallowing refueling in short(er) races?
GTR_Yuni

Some championships that run races shorter than an hour, like some touring car series, generally disallow refueling of the car. Minor but it's a nice little detail to have. It could be a server-side option.

"TC" Class? A thought...

Hi,

With some inspriation of real-life touring car championships like BTCC and WTCC, I got the idea to lower the "big" GTR's power levels to their standard road going counterparts to run along side a XFR that weights the same as it's standard car. Although the GT2s (I perfer calling them GT3s because they're nowhere near GT2-class level) are very similar in this respect, I thought that perhaps this might just be a good idea. Sure, it might not be as popular as the UF-BR might be, but it's worth a try, right?

Here's the restrictions for each of the three cars I got to so far:
XF-TC : No restriction, 100 kg ballast. (230 bhp/940 kg)
XR-TC : 46% restriction, 100 kg ballast. (245 bhp/1200 kg)
FX-TC : 48% restriction, no ballast. (234 bhp/1100 kg)

I have not analyzed the balance in deep detail.
XF-TC should be all-round in terms of strengths and weaknesses
XR-TC should be able to beat the other two on faster tracks
FX-TC should be able to out-corner the other two, also be the easiest to drive of all the TCs

Setup Rule for XR and FX-TCs:
- No amount of wing angle other than 0 degrees will be accepted.

With this, I think as a racing class for Silver-CTRA licenced drivers, it (might) make a nice bridge from UFBR and TBOs to the much more powerful GT2 (Er, GT3) cars. This will probably NEVER make in into the official CTRA servers thing, but it's worth a try, right?

Cut (or lift in your case) the throttle just before up/downshifting. This should minimalize the amount of heat your clutch 'generates' when shifting. Note that you don't have to be at 0% throttle when upshifting, but it does have to be below a certain amount of throttle (generally 50%).
