So what? It's not like anyone _has_ to use a certain way to express what they want (unless it's something really, really, offensive like a nude girl). If the guy wants to use vector brushes, let him. You don't have to download his skins.
I plan on getting a wheel soon. Problem is my dad is trying to convince me to buy something else which would probably last me only a week (Xbox360 or PS3...), and I don't like playing on consoles anymore. He says he'll not spend more than 100 USD [on a wheel and pedals set], but I'm not all that willing to settle on a Momo Racing wheel...
So here's what I'm looking for :
- UNDER 120 USD
- Will last me a long time
- Quick and easy setup
- Responds to steering and throttle inputs quickly
- May or may not have force feedback
- Has greater than 270 degrees of lock
This thread is reserved for XR-type cars only (XRG, XRT, XRR), so even if you posted a skin here, it's still the wrong area. There's one for all the LX-type cars as well, you just have to look.
Advanced Media Creation Girls skin for the XRR. I'm no <insert name of awesome skinner>, but I can make half-decent skins too.
<PUBLIC SKIN>
<THANKS TO MASTER SKINNERZ MEMBER 'ROBBYMAC' for some aero parts>
AM*CG / IDOLM@STER XRR skin.
My first attempt at a "custom aerokit", which takes a cue or two from the ECtype bodykit... or not. 765 Productions logo had to be made from scratch, but luckily I found the logo of AM*CG on some old iDOLM@STER web page...
Like any stereotypical young (READ : UNDER 13) person who was into racing, I got into it by Gran Turismo. 'Course, I was also a wimp back then too (as a driver, anyways) because I don't use manual back then. I also played a bit of Sega Touring Car Championship (PC) and Daytona USA (the strange and obscure PC port).
I'm 14, never bothered with the Player Hacker mod. So I guess, there is at least one exception.
My opinion, the models other than those wearing "lids" should be ditched altogether. Possibly like a lot of others, I think they not really even great looking.
Actually, you can select a .dds format skin in LFS, it just has to be in skins_dds rather than the regular skins folder. So, I honestly wouldn't see anything wrong with that?
I've tried my hand at skinning the XR GTR using a theme of my favorite game (The Idolmaster - found at www.idolmaster.jp) but I am very unhappy with my skin.
The criteria is:
- It MUST have the logo of the game on the side(s) and hood of the car.
- It must look much better than what I've got.
Would be nice but isn't highest priority:
- One of the characters of the game on the side of the car.
- The car number is 765

A bit of progress.
Made the toe a bit more "centred" and also adjusted the wings to have the same angle, and raised the ride height. It shaved almost a second off my time.
Also trying to get down to 1:44 at the popular GTRs@AS3 combo, but no replay as I totally need more experience before I can take any real specific advice.
Re the FZ5, you should shrink horizonally the "decals" as quite a few of them look stretched.
The RB4 looks pretty good if a bit plain...
But for both of them, drop the wireframe, at least once you're done.
