CPUs have little influence actually. Just get decent RAM, that's today's bottleneck.

I think he said "VB6 is not a language" because it is pretty lousy for a languange.
And you could learn the syntax of C++ by using C; Perl and PHP use similar syntaxes too, but both are interpreter languages.
Why go for the "next-best" anyway, start with C++

I would love if they had the engine/track sounds in the livestream this time, not just commentatory and music. Too bad I won't make it there this year either

Quote from ajp71 :500m? Are you braking from 200mph on ice?

The car doesn't use no fuel when coasting, it still puts enough in to keep the engine firing, although there's probably no reason why a modern ECU couldn't be programed to completely cut off the fuel supply when coasting. Also bare in mind that coasting in gear is only more economical than running in neutral in cars with modern fuel injection systems.

Modern ECUs do cut off the fuel completely (for petrol engines at least) and don't do the ingnition thingy.

Like Tristan said, neutral is bad for saving fuel, since it takes a bit of fuel to keep the engine running. That and most cars nowadays cut off your fuel above a certain rpm (I think 2-2.5k).
For the A/C: The little trip computer told me an increase of up to 1l/100km (let's say 35 instead of 40 mpg) for using the A/C. A quite useful solution for that: Switch on the A/C until it's cool, then turn off the A/C, usually there is no need to turn it on again for quite a while.

This acceleration thingy - didn't know that full speed ahead is really beneficial, I usually accelerate moderatly (no granny speed, but no full throttle either).

If I remember correctly the exhaust is the rectangle in the lower right corner of the skin.

Assuming you use photoshop it's pretty easy to get those outlines:
1. Have a layer for your background, for example your pink (Background).
2. Have a layer above this one, which is completely empty for now (Layer 1).
3. Have a layer with your picture with transparent background (Layer 2).
4. Now select Layer 2 and use the Magic Wand on the transparent area, you should select all except your picture with that.
5. Choose Selection -> Invert Selection, Selection -> Modify Selection -> Expand (use a value that feels right for you here, in the above it was 10 pixels) and Selection -> Soft Selection Edge (I chose 5 pixels here).
6. Now Select Layer 1 and use the Flood Fill Tool on the inside of your selection.

I can't guarantee the correctness of the menu labels, but you should find them

how ironic...

Anyway, Tim, I'd try to give it better edges at the areas where you have a picture on the pink background. See the attached pictures for what I mean.
And the pink exhaust pipe looks kinda silly, I'd stick with the stock one

I find the XRR the most difficult one to drive, FXR and FZR are both pretty easy in my eyes.

I am also fascinated how many people can vote wrong in this thread

Quote from Mp3 Astra :But it's blocked at the bottom so the only way to get in is from the top. I don't know how sweepers work, but I'd be surprised if they could pluck a pigeon from the middle of it!

they usually have a large ball of steel (insert childish chuckle here) with "feathers" on it to clean the chimney, so I guess they could remove it. Just describe them your situation and they'll tell you what they can do.

Once you got used to 900° (actually 720°) you will not want to use anything lower again, cause it just feels so wrong
