A little bit more info and some screenshots wouldn't have hurt.
They all seems to be arcardish-style (not like nfs, which tries to be taken seriously, more like game-hall-arcarde), might give it a try later
Okay then Mr. Aussie - I wouldn't have done it, if I didn't want to, so don't worry about that
It isn't about exactness, "Jappy" sounds kinda respectless to me. And typing in more letters shouldn't be so much of a problem
Just being curios here: How did you get your avatar, I thought demo racers weren't supposed to have one
a) There are is nothing to translate, only the characters in the picture
b) Babelfish/... isn't very good at translating
c) Jappy? at least have the decency to use the right expression. I wouldn't call you "Finny"
d) As far as anyone is concerned, I'm working on the last few, but some kanjis are really hard to read
?? 濁? 波? 競技 場?
can't figure out the first one at all, not sure about 2,3 and 6
The fact that Audi(VW) doesn't want to join the Formula One makes this skin look kinda weird, but other than that: nice work. Yellow Audi F1 cars would look cool I guess (Yellow is missing since Jordan ), but I guess Audi won't join the F1 ever. Just because F1 has pratically nothing to do with production cars
IMHO there is never a good time to switch to Vista. I completely generally don't like it. And I surely hope LFS will never require Vista to work, it would mean losing my favourite game Oh dear, I guess I was playing too much Gran Turismo
Next few
The beginning of the second line was the same as the first line, so I shouldn't be bothered to do it again
So the top one is the right part of the grey area and the lower one is the red part. I'm not too sure about the last character though. Now it would read "turbo (literally ta-boe) science", so I guess it would make some sense. The blue one is kinda hard to read for somebody who does hardly understand any Japanese, so that could last a bit
Sorry, I can't imagine what the first line wants to tell us
You kind of have a point: Our Formula Student car uses auto-clutch too (you have a handclutch for the start). It even features TC. Well the MRT5 might be technologically worse than our car
I just installed the MS IME editor from Microsoft (included with the Japanese keyboard layout) and and tried to rewrite the letters with my wacom-tablet (you have the possibility to draw the letters with it).
My japanese hanwriting is kinda horrible, so I had to try quite a few times per letter
that'd be the first line... you gotta excuse me, i came home late today and didn't have the nerve to do the rest as well. I'm not sure about the one with a question mark behind them, and the ones with the pipe (|) inbetween, they look too similar, I could decide which one was right.
Now I hope you have Japanese font installed so you can read the characters.
Exspect the rest around sunday, cause I'm quite busy now
I can create a lot of files from it, but I think vectorized would be the best, if you don't have the right font installed
If anyone is interested: That one says something about self-moving cars and multiplication. I can only translate the kanjis and I don't really speak Japanese. Looks like a job for yamakawa
edit: 自動車に乗ること - that seems to be the right one; babelfioshed to "Ride in the automobile"

Reason : seems like there is a translation =)
Well, games can have an effect on persons, but then it's not the game's fault, but the persons. I hate it if people blame everything on games, as if they were no other reasons.
For example: When somebody went amok in a school here in Germany, everybody blamed it on Counter Strike. They didn't even question how the pupil could get a shotgun or what his motive was, as soon as they found out he played CS, it was all CS' fault.
Maybe I should run amok too, let's see what they say about me, because I don't play CS
Well, still being so young you might not understand some of the sarcasm/humor here on the forums. Just imagine a -smiley behind every second post
And I personally don't hate you (yet), just as DaveWS said, just learn to stay calm and become patient. That will you help even outside the forums
I'm sure Scawen made regularly backups. Everybody who didn't do them once and experienced the misfortune of having to do something again because of the absence of backups knows that you can't have enough backups
On the other hand: Scawen might be angry about buying a new PC and decide to release S2 beta even later
I hope there's no tea near if he checks his emails
completely agreeging with Mr. Dawes here
Kinda stupid to ask for the hack on the forums though. Maybe he'll admit using a crack too, so he can be banned
