Quote from zeugnimod :Well, that was exciting for 2 laps at least.

Legendary! I couldn't stop giggling. It's a bit unfair of Rossi to take the championship as hostage, but the teacher needs some advantage so he can get the lesson through.

Hopefully Spies will be to Lorenzo what Lorenzo was to Rossi last year - A real incentive to go faster.

One big decider for 2011 is: what will Jeremy Burgess do?
Settle down with his own 600cc team in Australia (his dream); Follow Rossi (most likely); Help Spies for a year? (my dream)

And Legard is alot better than Allen was even if he is unfocused. Cox might be good but I consider him more of a comic relief. I want a real F1 anorak that is not a fan of a particular driver.

The bbc show around both F1 and MotoGP is fantastic compared to the alternatives. I just get a bit annoyed with Eddie who plays "Debate" every time over argumenting his current standpoint, which may change, and then he will promote that as vigorous instead. Probably a work related illness contracted as team owner.

Toby Mody is good too, but that show is not as informative as the BBC show

Quote from J@tko :Sponsors form Alliance

Guess what Bernie thinks?

Interesting, I just hope they like racing and not showing off their logos in city centers.

Hypothesis about the oil temps: I guess the oil is heated by the block, thats why cooling the oil does not help more than just after the cooler (I'm guessing that you do not circulate enough oil to cool the block) Cool the water better to cool the block.

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :In other news, according to this amateur footage, Massa gained a huge unfair advantage at the start, stopping 1-1,5 meter further than his grid slot at the start.

Incredibely, the marshalls and the stewards never spotted this. The start was given like that, and Massa has never been under investigation so far.

Brundle(I think) mentioned it and guessed it would result in a drive through, maybe none of the other teams bothered to mention it to the stewards.

Regarding Vettel, I think he had too much engine breaking going on while steering around button, looks exactly like that.

In one of the recent episodes you can see a guy that looks quite like Ben driving with Jeremy. I think it was in fourwheeldrives, R8 vs Porsche maybe.

I'm lucky I'm not responsible for buying airplanes. Either you buy a 30 year old proven machine or some vaporware with unknown production date and a price that you know is a lie.
Luckily the vintage models has lots of room to fit lots of modern electronics (since the old electronics was huge)

I like Angostura 1919, maybe the purists disregard it since its made from molasses instead of cane syrup, but atleast it got 8years in some fine burbon barrels.

That is if you like to sip it like scotch.

Physics is comparable to LFS S1 early something.

Nice choice, swift and lola would have been OK too. The others had too much protection around the wheels, more like a prototype.

I hope they keep the aero similar to the current, so we can watch them in close battle around WG (something F1 cars can not even dream of)

Yay 46 is back, and has a great battle with Stoner (not epic battle like laguna seca but great). And tops it off with some nice quotes: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/85366

Quote from thisnameistaken :Take a look at this and you might understand why musicians don't want their music to feature on streaming services.

This was a good comparison.

Except that ther were no entry for "played on radio" (which pays even less than spotify according to my sources). And that there were deceptive bugs in the data for the graphs (read the comments on the page).

Ill take that beer!

Yes, it is correct translation.
The grammar is backwards but fully comprehensible.
I'll add one "up" to make it even better.

Quote from Mustafur :Would this end this topic's discussion: http://kidcz.ic.cz/V8surfers.jpg

I'm certainly drooling.
(guessing that the wtcc guys would end up on top, except for the Menu car that will end up on a flat bed)

A weekend full of disappointment, lots of very deflated drivers as well as tyres.

I think that it was hilarious

Quote from samjh :Showroom series do exist, but they tend to be grassroots categories (ie. almost no TV exposure) for club racers.

Unfortunate. But the reality is that manufacturers don't want people seeing their cars get flogged by rival manufacturers' cars.

Than they should build better cars :-)

Forgot to mention that V8SC is the purest tc series I know, since they have none of the crap that plagues the others, reverse grid, success ballast. This is huge, since the winner is the best (driver, car, team combo). Even the parity adjustments seams fair (check out WTCC for the opposite)

Quote from 5haz :Excessive and unclear regulation is the problem which restricts racing and results in shitstorms like this. If any national racing club can geta championship through a season without having most of the races end with an unclear/dubious result, then why can't the FIA manage it with F1?

The cars may be faster and more complicated but the same basic rules apply, as for technical regulations, they need to be simplified and loosened too.

That is not true, most series has rule controversy shitstorms. (Mostly resolved in the same way, race control is right even when race control makes a mistake)

Yes, DTM is is not a modified car, most other serieses require the body shell to be intact (DTM keeps only the roof afaik).

The problem I have with most tc serieses is that the badge is just a badge, I can't make a decision to buy a Holden or a Ford based on who wins Bathurst (except to buy whatever Lowndes is driving)

I would like to see a showroom stock series where cars were classified on purchase price. Real consumer advice. Minimal modifications, apart from the obvious roll cage, seat and belts.
Allowed to remove: cockpit trim, to compensate for the added weight of the roll cage (and limit fire hazard). Replace break pads, maybe shocks and springs. Safer gas tank. Require large series of production, and car to be available for purchase (to limit cheating with the price)
Make the races classed on Euro NCAP stars too so I be tempted to buy the fastest safe car instead of the fastest cheap car.

If you are not going to disassemble it more (removing the crank), you probably want to flush it with some cleaning liquid{1}, since there is probably{2} a lot of oil/water sludge stuck here and there that will cause problem with the oil cooling in the future.

{1} some say diesel, I do not know
{2} if the engine whipped the oil and water mix to a cream or not

I find it unlikely that the head is straight and smooth, my guess it that its the heads fault that the gasket broke, i.e that the head was not pushing evenly on the gasket and the gasket broke where there were too low preassure.

I'm not an expert, just suggesting some "check there carefully" before proceding.

Quote from Agressor :And they need to look into Barrichello throwing his steering wheel onto the road ... which a car ran over shortly after.
Completely NUTS.

To be fair, it landed very close to the car (centimeters from the car) but quickly bounced away to the edge of the track. But his defence claiming to leave the car quickly is horrible, he is very safe while belted in the car, to be located on the track without seat belts is astronomically more dangeorus.

Regarding driver merits DTM > WTCC > V8SC > other national touring car series

That does not mean that many DTM or WTCC drivers can learn to put competetive times in a very heavy non diffed v8sc in any short order (as shown in the endurances, most suck some do well)

I think his spine took a pretty big hit.

What more I learned from the onboard was that the track is horribly boring in those cars. (a few dragstrips with turns between them)
