Cheap TTL triggers now available for Nikon: http://www.flickr.com/groups/s ... #comment72157622949581760
A user is writing a short review about them, they don't look bad for being chinese stuff.
Also, note that FP mode and Hyper Sync should be possible
Im expecting more cheapo stuff companies to make their own version and put them on sale in a while.
Looks like the "just-trigger" era is verging to an end.
Oh,these stuff should also be available for Canon by the beginning of 2010.
Thanks for the report DWB.
As i stated earlier,the version i am looking for is,i think,the earliest:
But,as i am writing now i can't find any 70-200 by sigma on the forums i usually look onto.
Damn,i really had to take that deal back in May,shit.
The 55-250 IS is a good budget lens, has IS and a pretty good image quality. At 135mm is really good but suffers a lot of definition loss at the longer end, especially wide open when it shows all its "crappy features".
The fact is i'm really on a budget,400€ as a top isn't that much.
What's more,Sigma's unreliability is stalking as soon as you buy one of their lenses.
I know the Tamron is sharper, and in fact i wanted to buy it at first.
Then i thought about the plastic construction(not a big issue,to be honest) but mostly of all i thought about the AF which, especially on Canon, since it has to be motorized, makes a hell of a noise and looks very slow.
Nikon,Pentax and Sony versions are better, definately.
Im ****ed,i know
Hey guys,i'm planning to sell my 55-250 IS and buying a 70-200 2.8 EX HSM(just that) Sigma.
Does anyone here have this lens or knows anyone who shoots with it?
I know it should be pretty good,at least compared to my canon telezoom, but im still trying to figure out what version should i look for.
I surely want it to be second hand, because there is no way i can get one new(prices start at 550 €).
Back in May i had the opportunity to buy one for 280€ but i didn't have the money to conclude the deal so i gave up.
Help me,is it a good lens?Since i found nothing about it on the internet im quite suspicious, and, after all, sigma isn't very famous for being reliable, isn't it?
Sooooo, suggestions, questions, anything, but help me not waste my precious money
I love you mommy, thanks to my GF for having bought me a tripod.
Is it a problem if i talk about those things here, isn't it?
After all,it's a general stuff thread,huh?
So,are you saying that you can extract a magic formula out of a video and make the tyres work properly?
I doubt so...devs probably knew that LFS tyre model was not so accurate but probably they couldn't have time or sources to investigate about where to fiddle to have proper grip.
It's not like "Hey LFS,i discovered your tyres grip too much,so watch the video and learn to make them work for good".
If it just was that simple...
Im not saying you're wrong, but you have to take into account that different cars, rims, tyres, temperatures and tarmac and god knows what can affect grip in such a big amount that a video can really tell nothing about it.
If you can extract formulas out of those videos, well, have fun and be helpful to devs
Did i explain myself well?
Am i typing japanese?
No,it's just a qulitative observation.
Programming needs data,thus quantitative comparations.
You've just shown the consequences, based on real life observation, but didn't provide any basis for a serious calculation that could represent the model of tyre physics.
It's a bit like saying that a car goes slower than another whilst not providing anything to justify why it happens.
I use it and i find it really comfortable.
You can build a little online archive and access it from every computer connected to the net.
Not to mention that you can share a folder with someone and anything dropped into it will be at the disposal of both.
Nice service
How can a video be useful?
It's not like you see ONE tyre in one condition and pretend you're done.
This kind of thing requires much more than a visual test on a rolling road.
The point is that it's better to make a set on your own,so you can adapt it to your driving style rather than just downloading everything and drive in 10 different manners.
But,the question was:should i try to steal a set the creator didn't want to share?The answer is:NO!.
It's not like you get the set, jump into the car and beat the WR.
How many WR's do you have, sir?
I have none,i don't play LFS that much and i really don't care about beating a WR.
Aren't you denying the fact that some records are made by driving onto the very limit of the phisics engine?
Yep,i saw the AD on MTV 2 days ago while i was at uni.
The nice thing is that all tracks are unlocked and the 500 looks so fun to drive
Don't know why the demo isn't on NK pro site too, that's quite strange.
Putting the 500 into demo can be a clever mode in order to convince people to buy the game.
Even if you could easily extract the setup from the WR spr changes are you won't be able to take it to the limit due it being so extreme and so crazily driven.
What's more,if a WR holder doesn't want to share his set why should you look for a way to steal it?
