Question is, how many of those games are you still playing?

I have a few PS3 games (maybe 5), GT5's 10GB install will still fit on my 40GB HDD without having to delete something else.

I still have a 20GB HDD on my xbox360. I have loads of games... but the ones i still play now and then i can count on one hand. What really takes up space is DLC for all those games. However, i simply delete the stuff from the games i don't play anymore... and if i ever decide to play them again, i can simply re-download the DLC (without having to pay again).

I also download demos and arcade games. Same here, don't play it anymore, delete it.

In other words, i don't see the need for more HD space on my consoles.

I went and bought the game for xbox360. Had quite low expectations after the demo, but oh well, i love rally games.

Was quite surprised with the game actually. Once you get over the sometimes lacking graphics (no blur and all that crap is welcome, but texture mapping and a few other things are really not done very well), it's actually a decent rally game with some great stages. Cars behave nice. It's not RBR for sure, but WAY better than Dirt2.

I like this game because it feels a lot like the old CMR/WRC games. Remember, they've always been fun to play.

One thing that pissed me off is the way games get released tho. So i bought the game, only to realize that the Group B cars are not included... they are DLC released at the game release day... you can buy them for 400MS Points...

This one doesn't flip. Hard to tell, but the surface looks like tarmac to me.

I know these little things can roll over. Actually, my dad has seen it first hand on a twisty mountain road in italy (woman driving in front of him, too fast apparently, rolled it in a corner).

That video of GT5 looked terribly wrong tho. If they'd roll that easy, fiat would have had serious customer complaints / lawsuits in my opinion.

+1

I'm excited about this game like everyone else. One thing i don't understand tho, why do people keep believing in the big hype? We've seen it before with other games. This won't be the "real driving simulator" in my opinion, why does everybody keep acting like it will be?

It's pretty clear to me they spent most of their time on the premium car models, tracks, karting, etc. Not physics.

Mark my words, physics will be cool up to a certain point, and rubbish beyond. I'm prepared for this, the rest of you will all be in tears when the game is finally coming out.

Quote from gezmoor :I just wonder how much longer Porsche are going to keep flogging the 911 horse. Sure it's an Iconic car, but it's a technically flawed platform that they've managed to keep up with the game with some brute force engineering. Which is great, but I really do think that it's getting close to the time where the 911 has nowhere else to go Vs other super cars available on the road, (and I'm not talking the uber expensive kind only made in handfuls). I think they'd be better off retiring the model and pushing a remodelled Cayman based platform to the fore as their premier sports model.

Quoted for truth.

They're beautiful cars tho.

I had a dream about GT5 the other day. It came out and me and a friend were playing it. Physics sucked but it was pure car porn. Kinda sums up my expectations.

Quote from TehPaws3D :If your talking about very low income people, Then it's probably because they have been kicked out and are moving to a place that is cheaper.. Unless I misunderstood.

No. They are people who have normal jobs, an appartment with rent to pay, insurance bills, etc, living normal lives, with an income below average. They go traveling and come back afterwards.

The most i've ever paid for a flight ticket was about 1'000 dollars, which was for thailand (including the return). And that wasn't exactly booked ahead. If you plan a few weeks ahead it can be much cheaper.

The people i know that travel the most are usually the ones with the lowest income. Don't ask me how they do it tho (probably exactly like that... looking for cheap flights, special offers, etc.). Globetrotters aren't rich people usually (they don't have a wife and kids either mostly, so that's what's holding you back right there).

Quote from The Moose :I actually thought it was worse than that. I read that only 7% of Americans had a passport. Who knows what the real figure is though.

All I know is wherever I've been I've met people from all over the world in those places, but I've only met 3 Americans in total on my travels.

Then again why would they want to go anywhere when they already live in the greatest country in the world

I've met two americans in thailand, they never ever wanted to go back to the USA again. It's like they've woken up from a long and terrible nightmare.

Travelling is a lot easier since the Internet - no more hotel bills!

Couch surfing?

I have been to... let's see...

Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Austria, France, Greece, Spain, Hungary, Mexico, Thailand, Singapore, Burma, Marocco. I think that's it...

Would love to go to Japan, United States, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and so many more places. Traveling is great (don't confuse it with holidays where you simply stay in a hotel).

Quote from The Moose :Great pic Jibber. More people need to read that a few times any truly digest it.

Anytime I'm feeling that my life is a sack of shit all I have to do is think back to what I saw and experienced in the slums of Bangalore and Mumbai and you never forget just how lucky the huge majority of us westerners are, however dire our circumstances can seem to us at times.

Funnily enough most of those people I met were 10x happier than most of us pampered westerners as well

That's 100% what i've experienced in some regions in thailand. Was a very good experience and helped me a lot to become more happy with my life.

I'm not going to go back through all the pages and pick out examples for you. Too much effort and you wouldn't understand anyway i guess. Some people can't see the forrest because of all the trees...

Go outside and look at your brothers car, then come back and tell me there's nothing dodgy about it.

Anyway, this leads to nothing... carry on, it's your car, not mine.

Quote from aoun :Could that be me? Because your a pretty cocky guy, I think you need to settle down, learn a thing or two, and think about what your saying here. Just advice mate, don't take it to heart.

I wasn't talking about you actually, why did you feel that way?

And seeing how great mechanical skills Klutch has shown in this thread, i don't think it was cocky to say he'd be better off taking the car to a mechanic to do something as critical as installing new brakes.

Actually, the three stooges telling me i'm cocky is quite hypocritical. After all i'm just giving humble advice, compared to other people who have to resort to name calling when they're running out of arguments.

If a mechanic does a bad job (happens, i know), then take your car back there and complain, it's your right to do this. If it's an official dealer, he has a reputation to loose and you can go and complain to their bosses (mazda australia) if they don't want to hear it.

Quote from Stefani24 :It's not the materialistic things that make me really happy, you know.

You didn't understand my point then. Other people have to live in wars, have to fear for their lives daily, have nothing to eat, no family, etc. Think about it.

And if you're talking about girls... the happy couples exist mostly in movies. Not everybody has a supermodel as a girlfriend. Not everybody finds love instantly.

Hell, i'm 30 years old and never had a long and lasting relationship, still trying to find the right partner... just met a nice girl, which will probably end up in another failed relationship sooner than later... go figure.

Yet i manage to be happy about what i have and enjoy the ride. Attitude makes a big difference, you know. So again, cheer up dude. Life's good (you just haven't realized that yet maybe).

Yeah, It's mostly those that finish their sentences with "lol". Your next response will probably be something like "no u, lol".

But anyway, who cares, if your brakes fail and you crash into a tree... one street racer less to worry about.

2. Its cheaper to do it myself
3. Its fun to do it myself

and LOL @ TRUSTING MECHANICS to do a good job.
Some of the dodgiest shit i've ever seen have come from "Qualified" mechanics.

I'd rather do it myself and know its done properly.

If you do it as good as rolling fenders... yeah, might aswell do it yourself.

brought bought slotted rotors the other day, so ill probably be installing them this or next weekend :|

Considering your exceptional mechanical talent, you'd probably be more safe to take it to a mechanic who actually knows what he's doing.
