Quote from DeadWolfBones :After discussing the matter with Benji, we have agreed to allow tire warming for this round, as a test toward allowing it in general moving forward.
  • Tire warming will be allowed up until the final sector of the restart lap (until the 'leader controls field' message is displayed). This also applies for the rolling start lap.
  • Drivers must leave a large gap between themselves and the car ahead--think 5-7 car lengths.
  • Any solo spins caused by tire warming will cause the marshals to instruct the offending car to move to the rear of the queue.
  • Any multi-car incidents resulting from tire warming will result in harsh penalties for the guilty party.
I hope that this will take care of the cold tires issue and allow us to move forward without controversy. Thanks!

Is tyre-warming also allowed on the formation lap?

Quote from aroX123 :Just woundering if there will be another season because i really liked this.
And IF there is going to be another season i've got some ideas:

-Warmup lap.
-Safety car.
-More Tracks (about 15 different tracks would be nice, too make it closer in the championship)
-Maybe a autocross racing track aswell.
-Broadcast
-(Maybe not everyone will agree on this one) Everyone use the same setup, exept the type of tire.

Hope there will be another season, and i will be there

Thanks for the suggestions.

Warmup lap

I think we're unlikely to do this, simply because of the need for extra preperation and admin presence.

Safety car

I don't really see the point of this. It would also greatly increase the amount of admin presence and preperation required.

More tracks

15 rounds is way too many for this kind of competition. Even with 6 rounds we ended the season with two relatively poorly attended events.

Autocross

I'm not sure how popular an autocross round would be with the FO8 - it's not really a suitable car for autocross imo.

Broadcast

I guess we could ask someone like the46 if they'd be interested in broadcasting. If someone wanted to do it, I wouldn't have any objections.

Standard setups

I think that again this would require some extra preperation from the admins, and I don't think that I'd be regularly able to provide a decent all-round set for each event. Additionally, I think it would prove very difficult/time confusing to moderate forced setups during events.

Hopefully I'll run another season, though due to the poor turnout in the second half of the season it isn't a certainty.

Yeah. I think either allow drivers to cut as they please, or alter the chicane significantly in order to slow the cars down a lot. Putting a couple of posts in place doesn't do much imo.

In the 16h race last year the posts were rarely even standing because every 10 or 15 seconds another car would take them out. This meant that the next few cars past were able to cut significantly without having to worry about hitting the posts.

Quote from seniecka :Please be right, you don't upload results and worthy information in short time. And we don't make a complain about it.
As you know, videos takes much more time than counting results. Otherwise, arox had problem with computer and wasn't at home some days. So, that why he couldn't manage by creating videos in short time.

You're right. The point is that I know I'm very busy at the moment so I don't say that everything will take me a few minutes etc. Anyway, it doesn't really matter, it was just meant as some advice.

Edit: Btw, results have been online less than 5 minutes after the event has concluded for every event this season.

Quote from TexasLTU :Haha pwnt.

I didn't really mean it that way, but I myself have made the mistake of promising to do something which I can't or am not likely to do, as has arox earlier in this thread, and I think it's something best avoided.

Re. my crash at high speed... I hit the 'Print Screen' button instead of F9. I did this a few times in my stint and unfortunately it results in a 2-3s lag. All but 1 time I got away with it!

Edit: Sorry to the two backmarkers that I spun. I haven't raced much in the last 2-3 years and I guess I'm quite rusty now. Sorry again, both incidents were entirely my fault.
