Really fun to watch racing footage, but nothing special if it comes to how it's been edited imo. Sorry, I just really am picky when it comes to timing the movie with the music.
This movie really gives a "Tension" feeling of making a WR, and it rises while the movie continues.. Will the next corner work? Will the next split be ok? Etc, The "Keep on fighting/going" feeling is in it. Great one.
Drifting is drifting, simple? Yes. And please - mods, don't let this discussion continue. Don't let some people make all drifters look stupid again. This is just ridicilous.
RBSteve: I've put some time in demo, but then it was years ago, in 2004. It took me longer to make movies then. I also think that Saiko D Demo Movie was better "thought" video overally, even if the effects were worse, some clips were choppy etc. Anyway, thx for criticism, I'm glad that someone still likes that old movie nowadays.
@d6nn: I used sapphire shake effect and modified it a bit. Same thing can be done manualy by changing movie size and position + some other little tweaks. I've also added some blur.
It's been some time since I've made a new video, so I got a bit rusty with editing.. But I still hope that you guys/girls like it. Enjoy and comments please.
I think that most of the "proper drifters" don't even bother to post at official LFS forums often. Why would you want to post somewhere, where you aren't tolerated? Besides, when "proper drifters" actually post they don't call themselves drifters and so they are recognized as normal LFS users, that is racers. Not to mention that most of them race anyway. People usually recognize drifters at forums when:
a) They post a video/edited screenshot/skin etc.
b) They post a drift team thread.
c) They act like idiots and dumbasses - that would be the biggest group here. And those often are demo players. Stupid threads and posts also tend to be more popular.. For some reason. That ofcourse makes those people stand out more from the crowd..
On the other hand, I have to say that nowadays drifting community is not a community I would like to see or the community I remember from the past. It will be probably best if I stop writing here. Not a good idea to poo in your own nest.
For stock skyline, m3 e30 etc. Enthusia Proffesional Racing on ps2 is the best imo. It's the only game for which I would like get ps2 back. I think you can even call it a sim. And the caterham sure drives similar to LX6.
That's your question about more degrees.. It has been answered MANY times before. And also on last page(This quote is actually a reply to your post! Did you even bother to read it? ):
Tristan, it would be even better if everyone had to also use manual clutch. Go hardcore. Talking of manual.. I hope Scawen will make a realistic clutch soon. It's quite crappy at the moment, but better that than nothing I guess.
Because it makes your argument against 45 degrees even more stupid. The amount of degrees needed to catch the slide doesn't really matter at all as long as not everyone is using the same amount of degrees. You can turn 36 degrees in lfs WAAAAY quicker than me with DFP and 720 degrees. Does it make lfs 'no sim' for me now? Because for some people things are easier? Eh.. Whatever.
