Considering you've got 2GB of RAM, a slow CPU and a really bad graphics card. Might be time to get a computer, if you're like me and have no life: a desktop is the solution.
People keep asking if others are willing to buy them something for payment. I would never buy anyone anything over the internet, if I knew them in person then maybe.
OP is looking for username restrictions. Also, just know that you're reading on LFS Programmer Forum.
I can't help you with that either, expr. Just wanted to point out to Legendlfs.
Same thing happened to me on RC. I did notice that LFS was hidden from my taskbar but was in the backround of my other programs, it had never happened before and was really weird. I had to make someone kick me, and then it'd be fine.
You're running DCon, correct? Out of curiousity, what CPU is the 'server'? I know the DCon is very lightweight and usually won't take much ram (or CPU usage), but I haven't tried to host with a full server.
I haven't thought much about that, lets do it this way. I'll make a Google Sheets document and link it to the main post. That way everyone will see if they're in or not. We can also prevent all the thread bumps :-)
I attempted to get better in sim racing many years ago, I tried to become of of the best racers out there. But after a while I discovered cruise servers, and well... it all went downhill from there.
Practice is really what makes you good at things, certain things does take longer than other things though. Some people need triple the practice than others does, and thats just because some people have 350 IQ and then there's me with 35 IQ.
I'm going a bit off topic now, but I've been playing this game called Rocket League. Basically, there's a bunch of things that everybody in higher ranks needs to know. I'm still in the learning stage of the game even though I'm nearly a 1000 hours into it, its crazy. From playing that game for nearly a year I've learned a couple of things.
- Don't let dreams be dreams.
- Practice does make you better.
I was Gold 3 (6 out of 20 ranks) 12 months ago, and now I'm Champion 1 (which is 17 out of 20 ranks). Anything is possible!
Congrats to Noupdates for winning todays unexpected giveaway, it wasn't planned at all. I got too many nice comments for this thing when I joined the demo servers, now THATS one of the reasons why I do what I do.
Anyway, welcome to S2. The next giveaway will run as scheduled.
Can't wait to see how LFS turns out. I'm leaving to the army the 13th of april. Hopefully I'll come back to something great. Take the time you guys need and good luck.
The goal with this is to pick a winner that plays and is going to play LFS in the future. I would never pick a winner that has 3km in total distance when they registered in 2006. Cause I've seen some of those.
I pick the winner based on when they registered, their km and recent activity. There are a bunch of things I check. I do also check if they've got more accounts, which also has happened a few times before.
If I have lets say found 4 really impressive demo drivers for a giveaway and I'm not sure which one to go for. I use a program to autopick 1 winner.
Afterall, I am the one to pick winners. So if anyone has friends that needs an upgrade or needs to get out of demo, you can simply drop a comment and be a referee I sometimes PM previous winners and ask them, has helped me out a few times when I just don't know who to pick.
