I'm sure that if there are no cars in the race, then game is limited to 40. Once you joined it jumps up, unless it actually is limited to 40 in your settings.

I've just upgraded to 0.6R12 to test it out. The first thing I noticed was my fps/time in the top left has disappeared.

If I go into settings and change it to display on the top right instead, it works.

Skin downloads are disabled for now, nothing to worry about.

I tried the first version of the Oculus Rift a few years ago, it was fun (but wasn't in LFS). What stopped me from getting one was just that I always seem to drive with my mouse in LFS, do you know if that gives motion sickness? I won't be buying one anytime soon, but maybe next year.

I'd just like to point out that the method Huskii mentioned works just fine, but i personally use another one and easier one.

HOLD CONTROL (CTRL) and PRESS one of the numbers from 0-8.
0 black
1 red
2 green
3 yellow
4 dark blue
5 pink
6 light blue
7 white
8 default

After ex. CTRL+3 is pressed, a color is selected. You can type your message after that

Sorry we cannot transfer over stats. The only way to get a new username would be to create a new user account. We can possibly transfer the S2 payment across, so you have a new S2 licensed account, but it would be a 'fresh' account with no associated statistics.
