LFS doesn't have dedicated servers anymore.

You can still host servers by renting directly from LFS services.

There are the default cars (SHIFT+P > Cars), and then there are car mods (SHIFT+P > Mods). Make sure you display all cars, including tweak mods. Also make sure to display all mods and all classes.

That will be displaying all public mods for you.

Wouldn't it be easier to use some of the existing mods out there? There are many realistic one's out there.

If cars' engines are too powerful, you could enforce voluntary intake restriction with the help of InSim.

I'm sorry, no. Maybe if it was more in the center, it would work to see where the mouse was positioned at. But that would just make it more in the way of other things.

Mouse cursor can be hidden with Shift+Z, but I don't know if it will hide with InSim buttons on.

I purposely drive with mouse cursor enabled. That way i can still steer the car in 3rd person.

Scawen,

Since you are working on smaller issues, that are not related to Vehicle Mods:
I'd like to just mention an issue I've had for so many years in LFS.

Some context first, I am a mouse driver. I steer left/right with the mouse, accelerate on LMB and brake on RMB. Whenever i do a u-turn and accelerate - the mouse cursor is top right of the screen, around where the map is. The issue here is if the cursor is on another player and i accelerate (left click), I'll be spectating someone else.

Perhaps you could make an improvement? I have a couple of suggestions:
- Make an option so players can choose whether or not to have the players on the map clickable.
- Players on the map are no longer clickable.
- Players on the map are only clickable below a certain speed.

I'm used to just pressing HOME button (move view back to myself), but I'm sure other mouse drivers have this issue as well.

Thank you for clearing that up. If that always has been a thing for all that time I've been very lucky to not be experiencing it until now. I just assumed it had something to do with the recent updates (0.7A/B). Nothing to worry about then, and good luck with the future updates!

Seems only cruise servers will be having this problem. They always have people online, and if they're asleep irl they'll be parked up in some carpark. Tbh, i don't think 50 days is enough since cruise servers don't restart unless they really have to. I'm sure this fix is more than enough, thanks!

Hello.

You can restrict the usage of modded cars as well as official lfs cars. It just doesn't show in the in-game admin menu ("options" in list of names).

These commands were added in the 0.7A update. What you are looking for is the /mods command.

/mods and /cars commands can accept plus or comma as delimiter

Hello.

Me and up to 5-6 other players that I've discussed this with are having issues playing MPR. I saved a 30 hour replay just now. When viewing the replay, all I'm seeing is a black screen. I am not able to use the timeline at the bottom, its like the entire MPR is just frozen.

I am happy to give you any logs, or files to figure out how this issue can be solved.
I'm using 0.7B.

That InSim library is out of date and over 12 years old ;_; There is your problem, just use insim.net.

There are 277 modded cars with H-Pattern gearbox.
VerbatimZ made a website using the LFS Mods API, allowing users to filter cars by geartype, drivetype, class, tweak etc.

I think now that mods are out, it would be a good time to update the CarHelper class, more specifically the CarMap of cars. The GetFullCar method doesn't work for modded cars.
