Your English is better than that of most native English-speakers.
I can't comment on keyboard controls, but the bottom line is that you should try to get a wheel as soon as you can. Not only because it'll make you faster (the car goes quicker when you can make smooth, steady inputs rather than the jerkiness that goes with digital input) but because it adds a whole new layer of immersion and enjoyment to the gameplay.
Try to get one as soon as you can mate. Shouldn't be too expensive.
This has been suggested many, many times before. Surely you're aware of the search feature considering you mentioned it in your thread yesterday.
How do you propose LFS predicts each shift? It wouldn't know until you actually shifted, which would mean the animation would be delayed and thus pointless. Either that or LFS animates the shift whether you actually do so or not. Say you're going through 2nd but miss 3rd and just sit there on the limiter - the man inside is animated pulling the shifter even though you don't actually shift.
Neither scenario makes any sense. It's a waste of coding time that could be put to much better use elsewhere.
I took the free driver's ed class which was offered at my high school when I was 16. I got my license when I was 16 1/2, so 7 years of safe, accident-free driving.
Can you even read? Currently we can only choose left or right. We can't choose anything else - top or bottom, corner or center, etc. Ideally we should just able to drag and drop it where we like.
Well it is true that the torque delivery is relatively low for a given rotational speed compared to conventional reciprocating engines, but it isn't 'no torque'. At the speeds at which a Wankel engine would typically run in a car, for example, the torque is sufficient but not gigantic.
To say they aren't as mechanically sound is just silly. They are extremely simple and robust and are therefore much more mechanically sound compared to reciprocating engines. That's one of their main advantages.
In David Coulthard's most recent column on itv-f1.com, he proposes the idea of banning refueling in order to improve the on-track action. I don't necessarily agree or disagree with this because I honestly don't know enough about the exact details to form a coherent opinion. He's obviously a quite experienced driver though, so his thoughts carry considerable weight.
Too lazy too look at the mpr, is it the chicane coming off of the oval? I hate that thing. I can take it fine 15 times in a row, then I take it cautiously on the 16th and it's like I hit a landmine. The car just gets thrown in the air and spins straight off hopelessly.
I hate seeing my thread being bumped again, exposing the evidence of the one time I didn't use the search feature and suggested something that had been suggested a thousand times before.
I don't care for cruising at all, but to say that cruising is being 'catered for too much' is ludicrous. All they have is the ability to drive in both directions on a circuit, and a server filter in the host list. That's it.
I set 'Cruise' to 'No' as soon as I had the ability to do so, then promptly forgot about the whole scene. They are paying customers and can do as they please with their software as long as they don't violate the EULA. The only time I even hear about the cruise concept is when someone starts a dumbassed thread like this one and draws undue attention to it. Flaming this guy won't help, and keeping this thread going draws undue attention and ire toward the cruise community. It isn't productive.
If you're a racer, go race. If you cruise, go cruise. Very simple.
You are aware of next year's rule changes, right? Of course they aren't absolutely guaranteed to produce closer racing, but collectively they seem like they'll have that effect. Much less downforce and less disturbed air behind cars, which should make it easier to follow through fast corners, slick tires, KERS and so forth. 2009 should be a great season.
A system hog? Are you serious? What the hell do you have, a 286? LFS is by far the most frugal game I have on my PC, including BF1942 which came out in 2002.
This was just the summer series; it was supposed to be short. Series 12 will be longer and will start 'in the autumn', so I'd guess the first week of October and running through to the end of the year.
