I completely agree with you Storm. but as Aaron suggested if we could get anything even close to resembling a highway, with curves and dips and elevation changes, slight very high speed turns it would be a blast, possibly the most fun track on LFS.
There's a track on GT5, I can't think of the name off hand let me fetch a video for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AS0m1S6miCQ
(this video just makes me so jealous that LFS doesn't have night/weather.... )
Basically it's just a straight, that turns around into another straight, and just loops.
Here's some fresh?(maybe) suggestions using the cars we've already got in the game.
How 'bout a UFG (UF1 GT) with a bit more power, better stance to keep up with XRG+XFG.
And speaking of competitors in this class, how about a 4 door FXO non/turbo, and an RB4 non-turbo? (XRT non turbo is already there, and this game is lacking in the 4 door department.)
Oh and instead of just nerfing cars to make more unique races, some could be upgraded as well. How about an XFT (XF GTi GT) turbocharged with super tires to compete in TBO.
couple suggestions using some bodystyles we've got in the game currently.
Hey guys, sorry if this has been suggested before but I don't think this issue is getting much attention.
As any layout maker knows, we hate using start points online.
Why?
Sometimes when people join the layout, the server lags and two people join simultaneously causing a massive wreck and anybody with a wheel knows how much of a nuisance this is.
Therefore if a layout with a starting point is on a server with 10+ people, it is utter chaos.
A simple solution came to mind, what if we could set up multiple starting points, similar to the pit stalls on tracks? Therefore we could create our layout to accommodate a certain number of people and set up that many starting points. Just a thought, hopefully a simple addition to an already great layout system.
EDIT: Just read this.
"To be able to place more than 1 start / spawn point (to create grids in the editor)"
It's late.. I do apologize. Feel free to trash this thread.
I have a quick question regarding this. I'm trying to get both of my paddles on my G25 to register the Handbrake. I've tried various commands and binds to no avail, anybody have some insight here?
EDIT: My paddles are buttons 4 and 5.
if I try /bind 4 handbrake then the latter, it unbinds 4.
If I try /bind 4,5 handbrake nothing happens
If I try /press Q handbrake and bind that to button 5 via Ctrl+, nothing happens.
????
Definitely an odd error. I honestly have no idea what could be causing it. Did you try what an earlier poster claimed to work, simply copy your LFS installation (don't reinstall) to a USB drive and see if it works from there.
No, it's a scientific fact that the average human being can see no more than 40FPS in their daily life of having eyes. Nice try though.
Hm, I seem to be having this image tearing happening with my new card, do you force vsync through drivers? I don't see an option ingame.
EDIT: just found it under "Misc."
Might I ask what kind of FPS you're actually experiencing? The human eye can't see anywhere near 120FPS, so with a demanding track, many players and particles what kind of FPS do you see? If it's anything above 30 then it's not really a major issue.
Hello there, I have a Logitech G25 but I don't think that's related to this issue. Profiler has worked fine for me in the past, I've mainly used it for turn signals and the occasional change of degrees for car changes. Here comes the weird bit. I upgraded from a GeForce ENGT240 to an ATi Radeon 4850. This of course changes some software on my computer, predominantly the graphics drivers. After everything was installed and I was happy with my new upgrade I tried out some LFS, opened up Logitech Gaming Software and I get this:
Logitech WingMan Event Monitor has stopped working
Check online for a solution
Close the program
I've done some reading and heard something about a conflict with ATi's current drivers? I've also heard of "Third party drivers" and searched for such a thing with no luck. If anybody has ANY insight to this frustrating glitch I'd love to get on with my day and have my profiler back
EDIT: If you tell me to reinstall I will tell you to stuff it. I've downloaded and redownloaded from 3 different sources reinstalling 5 times with no luck.

I think the XRR specific required laps is a little silly.
LFSW - lapcount on KY1 FZR : 246
LFSW - lapcount on KY1 XRT : 457
LFSW - lapcount on KY1 BF1 : 616
LFSW - lapcount on KY1 FO8 : 3028
LFSW - laps driven in total : 7819 (Mostly oval, I'm either on oval or drifting.)
Let's revive this shall we? Considering I got flamed the hell out for posting a raw image on the edited thread when this thread didn't even show up.
NOTE: When I say, " 'dat stance!" and 'hellaflush' and low 'n slow, please read this.
The camber on front and rear is -4.5 degrees.
And the suspension ride height and stiffness is set to the lowest possible setting.
So please, do me a favor and know your setups before you post.
Thanks guys! It's something I've been slowly working on and I'm slowly gettin' better. Please note these were slapped up pretty quickly, and my next video will have more time and effort put into it
EDIT: And choice of music isn't original? I can see that for the Mt Eden clip but that's only because I didn't have internet access at the time and had to pic a song off my computer. Otherwise that's purely opinion.
Haters gonna hate.
You guys obviously don't know what you're talking about, or how setups in LFS work. 'kay thanks.
NOTE: Where in this forum is an unedited pic thread? smartass?
I don't PM immature girls that can't hold a conversation without telling me to
"SHUT THE F*** UP"
I don't tolerate crap like that. And I have no interest in salvaging our friendship. AS I SAID.
GOOD LUCK! You're gonna need it.
