This doesn't mean that you have to abandon them right now, in fact the question isn't even on the table as you are currently working on 3D graphics and will then continue work on new tyre physics, but as time progresses and both hard- and software are getting better and better (although you can always argue about what is better and what isn't) the content LFS is delivering to people is on a sliding slope.
Sure, photorealistic graphics mean nothing when the game plays like crap, but in all honesty, LFS could do with some more graphical eye candy.

Well, just my 2 cents on this issue and to end on a positive note, I want to thank you for all that you did and are still doing for this great game.
It's a masterpiece and will only get better with every release you do, but please don't forget in which year we are living and don't close your eyes completely for all that is possible nowadays.

yea agree with you, it's time to take some month and give us a new and great LFS at the end of 2013.

he can make very interesent things with only DX9, just look what can do GT5/6 and forza 4 with only old dx.

but scawen please we must finish this awful story of long time waiting with tyres phycs and making better graphisme with DX9 in the near future if possible, and for sure here we goes for another 10 years of pure pleasure.

agreed with you about windows XP, but you must going forward not only for you but for all community because majority of people have no enconter probleme with moderne windows and we stille waiting for serieuse modernization of lfs ( proper shadows, advanced shaders..... ) this is not a reason to stille working with old XP's technologie..

As for performance, this has a better cpu and video card than me, and I play everything at highest settings. Also there will be more and more games who will support 8 core rendering and such with the new consoles comin gout (don't know if you ever play such games).

I guess my point is, I've grown up with LFS and it's always been the stand out game for me. it kept me entertained through high school, to getting a job, to buying a house, to amusing my self to watching first timers play.

Over the past few years though, I've come to feel sad for it, a bit like a depressed grandpa with dementia. Locked in an old persons home who you some times go and visit in the hope he remembers something from the good old days or just to hang onto something that once was.

I still think about LFS, and I come to these forums twice a month with the small hope that I'll see a thread with the title.
