But do you think it is worth to buy dedicated gpu into that ancient Pentium 4? Actually it is worth to research if the current motherboard supports core2 processors. Then it would be just cheap cpu+gpu upgrade.
It will. Make sure its a tower chassis, will be easier to find GPU upgrade in the future when LFS will upgrade its graphics.
However if you upgrade to DDR3 generation, I would personally choose an universal non branded pc using 1150 intel socket motherboard, 1150 has better CPU upgrades than 1155 (that is the case with i5 2400). Tho 1150 mb's are harder to find/bit more expensive. How much you should pay for that HP?
This is a weird question since you are just benchmarking the minimum. Tell us your hardware, and we answer you how you should upgrade it. (If you are on old laptop - rip)
When you get old enough, you appreciate daylight more and more. I don't really get what cool is to driving in conditions where you don't actually see very well. For example on some Assetto Corsa servers the weather is so awful dark cloudy that is hard to see the track. I just refuse to race on such sessions. Or the opposite, the sun reflects on the road and windscreen so much that you don't see anything. If that is nice, then...eh...gg!
Nevermind, nice that Devs are happy what they are doing
Licenced crashers are more rare in LFS, unlike in other sims. However today witnessed one - dr1ft killer, S2 licence holder joined SRT event just to ruin others driving by going wrong direction and aiming to other cars. (Don't yet know a reason why not list these heroes here on forum)
Then just clean your PC from malwares (download free malwarebytes and do full scan) and enjoy the game. Also make sure you have enough disk space and that your hard drive is not crap.
Personally I don't recommend upgrade to Win7 with so old hardware.
Its very nice but in my ears the wind combined with that pop music sounds really strange during the race. I rather would like to hear racing sounds + a busy & excited commentator
Another thing I discovered today, I am pretty sure the Bezel Compensation does not have any effect in Free View mode. That is of course not a big issue.
Instead of investing to DDR2 RAM, put your money on a cheap old 2nd hand computer that is using DDR3 memory. Your hardware is really old! Another option would be to research for CPU upgrade. You are running Core2 Duo CPU right? You could found a cheap Core2 Quad CPU if you motherboard supports it.
Okay thank you! super! I have to say that the option is hidden quite well since you need to access the Options/View menu in Freeview mode (as kristoffer said), otherwise you will not see it.
You almost scared me with this comment, fortunately it was not true for me.
