I don't know, then the blur should be different on different places on your windshield as well. Is such a blur effect possible with current hardware? (direct-x?).
The best reset was like 3 hours long the worst.... (if we skiped one that lasted ~2 years) was a day I guess, but this one should fall somewhere in between that, so 6-8 hours of my sleepless night.

It's always the demo cars where people mess around with. If i remember correctly there are no checks on democars. Other cars are better secured against cheating.

The roof is too high for a mini and the lights are strange. It looks more like a Daihatsu Trevis, but i think that car was born after the UF1 so it could not be based on that. http://www.autoblog.nl/images/wp/Daihatsu%20Trevis.jpg
