Auto clutch has always been a sort of gentleman's agreement in LFS. There are 2 sides to every argument but when it has a very clear advantage, even in a car with only 4 gears and a track with only 2 real corners, it should either be recommended or disallowed. So long as everyone knows what the accepted clutch method is, there can be no argument.

I'm firmly in the AC camp because BC feels unrealistic and cheaty.

Round 2 of CLSR season 4 is scheduled for Monday 20th February at 19:00 UTC with qualifying getting under way at 19:30 UTC. This week's combo is 4, 11 lap sprint races with the FXO (3% Air Intake Restriction + 10kg Added Mass) and XRT (No Restrictions) at BL1. The kerbs in Q13 are now bearable. I just hope a quick-fix like this comes along for kerbs like WE1R T2 some time in the not so distant future. Thank you. Thumbs up

Indeed. This track, plus all of the other ones that Eric has been working on have been developed with the new tyre physics. I did a few laps of GP in various cars last night and the kerbs really were a problem when I hit the sweet-spot where the tyre-glitches happen. I can only assume that the glitches we currently experience with the current tyre physics have been alleviated with the new physics else we would be seeing fewer of these types of kerbs rather than more. Until the new tyre physics head our way, we're going to need to approach the kerbs with as much caution as do for WE1R T2 etc.

Is this a bug, Scawen?: When you go into Free View via the escape menu, the chat goes slightly transparent. When you go into Free View via shift+u directly, the chat stays opaque.

If you hit escape after entering Free View via the escape menu, the chat goes back to being opaque.
