There's no risk of that as part of the reason so many people remain attached to LFS is because it has always been able to run on relatively low-spec machines. I'd go as far as saying it's always been one of the core foundations of LFS' development.
Just because PCs are becoming more powerful doesn't mean your applications have to use all of that power to perform at an adequate level. LFS is a classic case in point.
Pretty sure the ability to grab a scrubbed/used set of tyres for this very purpose will be on Scawen's radar once he eventually finishes the physics.
Allocating a set number of tyres per event or having the requirement to use the same set of tyres between race and quali is present in many forms of motorsport, including F1, therefore it should be present in a sim that values realism, like LFS.
It sounds like you're learning more and more each time you're setting up the trailer. $300 for your first shot doesn't sound shabby at all considering you know you weren't in a prime spot and didn't have trailer advertising.
Have you considered crowdsourcing a design for your trailer here on the forum? You could plaster a phone number, website and/or Facebook link on it too to advertise that the trailer is available for event hire (if that's the way you want it to go).
We're experiencing another heavy attack and the CityDriving One server name has been poached. Please do not connect there for the time being until we get it back.
We have 2 additions to our LFS lineup to announce!
Adam "k_badam" Brown joined the [TC] team earlier this year and having been a part of the winning team of this year's CityLiga 24, we are delighted to welcome him to [TC-R] as the latest addition to our LFS driver lineup.
We would also like to announce that Jack "Renegade" Eyre has joined [TC-R] and will be representing us in iRacing as well as Live for Speed. Jack has a few years of experience with iRacing and will be helping some of the team to make the transition to that sim before the end of the year.
I'm afraid so. It's been running since 2004 and in recent seasons the level of competition and attendance has dropped to the point where it just wouldn't be right for it to continue.
The live stream replay from the final ever round is now up on the CityLiga YouTube channel.
It was just to let players know what was going on with our servers. There was a lot of confusion initially and I wouldn't have normally done it but we felt it necessary to have a source of information people were more likely to trust.
