<<< guesses (no translator used)

a "no" is what to be wanted, because a "yes" anyone can get...

Right?

me for myself try to restart when in first-place with few seconds gap between me and the second place. (or the field)
if more people agree ok, if not, then it's "heads-down-time" and they'll have to fight for better pbs.
I don't say that i'm a good driver but i follow the rules (mostly... )
in the meantime i don't want to restart, i like the idea of a race to the end.
but i don't mind restarting if i'm far away in first place.
because it's quite booring when online-hotlapping.

well in "That" case i'd like to know what Id is used...

otherwise, there has to be a place for lfs-skinning tutorials.

<<< keeps on googling...

true, but i was always nagged by the fact that you just apply one texture to a object and the skin just looked right...
it was a real pain in the ass to assign all these different materials and textures to the FXR, since there are no mats applied to the original 3ds file.
Dunno how its in 3ds max, but it aways sounded so simple to get these great looking images from that programm.

take a look at these and tell me if texturization with 3ds is simplier or not...
it's not like i didn't improve since the first post, but as time changes, the time for my projects went very short...
sad too.
the very beginning of lfs

does anyone posses some files of the very beginning of the lfs crusade?

i'd like to see the progress made, and were it started from.

some guys talked about the "early" days, but i don't have a picture of these days.
and i prefer moving pictures, so spare me screenshots please...

thx

talk to the other guy, find out what he's up to...
girls always had and will always have certain friends (some of them male).
so if he's up to more than he should be.... warn him once!
after a second encounter, i'd beat him (a harsher warning).
if all that makes no sense to him, i'd beat the shit out of him (not the face!)
after that... it should be certain "who's the man"

is the file still avaiable somewere?
cause the DL link from the first post says that this file isn't on that server...

any chance of getting a 50fps version of that movie?

just got to used to don's high quality works

huh, i think (i know some don't want to hear) thats overkill, cause these regulators are used to controll big amounts of current (some more than 50 ampere) intended to be used for (some) engines capable of more than 80k (revving under load).

but if it's a cheap part, who cares anyway...

good point, i'd prefer a standard "frame-out" if sth. like this exists.
after that you could easily convert it to any format you like...

maybee the programmer of V-dub (orig) has the same problems with "broken" codecs...

i've started to merge setups too.
meaning change your set in small steps to the other setup.
drive a few (50) laps and let magic happen.
when you recognise the small differences you're set to understand a bit more.
since everyone has to follow the physics, there aren't that much differences the faster the times get.
Once you realised that, you start thinking about how the best line for a certain corner would look like.
then you start experimenting with that corner-line, you'll notice that you'll get faster each time you drove that corner.
it helped me very much to "see" (measure) the tyre-patch, to asses the amount of tyre actually have the most contact with the street.

just keep on reading everything you can get to that matter...

happy experimenting.

:iagree:

but it's open-source.
and maybee it'll improve.

I'd like to try the first attempt(s) of lfs as well.

O.O

whoops and i'm happy surviving one or the other 20 lapper...

well that's it when you're a "spare time Racer"

ok, your point.

but what would be the solution?
uncompressed all the way?
Or do you have a better codec in mind?
micha1980de
S3 licensed
but it doesn't need to be equal, as far as im remembering correctly, the processors these days are superscalar, meaning they dedicate all cpu load to a task until it's striped off the cpu, to make room (time) for another task...

so in this scenario you have a codec using "more" load than lfs, thsu lfs can't render further until the codec has finished its work for the latest frame, and still you get acceptabe filesizes.

or am i wrong?
