nope we didn't, since i got a Nvidia N-Force2 Ata Standard microsoft driver running for ages and i have the freezes too.

Maybee that's going to shift/solve/better the problem, i noticed myself (ATI) that the freezetime is approx. the same in ANY direct3d utilization, even on the oldest direct3d Nfs or total racing even Viper racing stutters ONCE then everything runs smooth for about a few hours then another stutter occurs...

i'm out of ideas too.

or read "heise.de" (c't magazine [in german :/ ]) or any equal tech-mag

Hijackthis got reall trouble with a smaller bug on my sys a few weeks ago (no virus,trojan,rootkit etc.) so it wasn't even able to start nor to scan.
Any of these online-scanners were practical useless to me since it wasn't any known "bad" software (in my case).

hope that's more to your liking...

nice atmosphere in the movie, i liked it...but.

the resolution isn't any HD-standard i know. next time you may try one of these: 720p, 1080i and 1080p (use the smallest one for mpeg4 encoding).
No matter what kind of player (vlc 0.8.6 failed completely in a hysteric error message mayhem) i tried, was never entirely fluid troughout the movie.
(amd xp-3200+ at nominal speed)
I assume because of some unlucky encoding settings, for example: no GMC warp points used at all, bitrate was way above needed levels if gmc would have been used.
i suggest reducing the resolution, or using a less stressing codec.

Or me buying a better computer har har

Ok enough of the moaning, i envy you for the cutting skills and special effect ideas, but i was a tad bit saddened because of the low poly meshes in the short distance camera shots.
Keep up your creative work (and hire someone for encoding purposes :P )

they affect the handling in meaning of weight, the bigger they get the heavier they are...
obviously.
and you can use big ballonish tyres for fun purposes (curbs aren't that dangerous anymore) but you won't be able to break some times.
I love to roam a bouncy env. with big ballon tyres (saw these things in a documentary about awd trucks roaming the ice deserts of our planet)

hello, i got 2 things circling...

1 i got that laptime twice today (while online racing), and once yesterday...(see pic)
2 is it normal that i need to set handicap weight to one and then to zero to eliminate any handicaps from a setup?
because i carried 20kg in the xrt-bl-forward set, did some testing, but couldn't get rid of it anymore, till today...

Who knows, maybee we will have air races someday -life for "SPEED" (in any manner).

since, we want to learn sth. by simulating certain things we cannot do (in these large amounts) in reality, doesn't necessarily mean we need to prohibit things to be simulated.
Like deep space travell (odd example? so be it, just be a bit more open minded, please...)

the effect is reproduceable, at least with games that use txtures as textfonts like your screen from post 1 or a gta series game.
It's a nice thing to play with using the "dxt-texture-format" feature in "compatibility" to be found in your "DX-3d options" (not Open-GL) in your catalyst drivers.
Maybee a brief switch "OFF" and on again solves your problem on the Fly.
After severall minutes my lfs keeps loking itself (graphic-side of lfs, sim side continues as if nothing happenend) for a few seconds and then keeps running smoothly till i close it.
i'm wonering if this is unique or any others here experienced similar effects.

take into account that certain surfaces react differently from other solid surfaces around the track, especially the barriers...

and since the collision-management (silly word i know, but i didn't came up with a better one) isn't perfect yet...

so NO i wasn't joking, and for the fun-time try to bump your car sideways (easy) into a wall and look what damage is done to your body...

but i strongly wish that the paid users get the full tweakable "restricted-to special-servers-or-single-player-NON-HOTLAPPABLE" version of tweak for s2 vxx.xx (since we paid for it...)

or is there not that big common sense between the programmer/developer of s2 tweak and the developers of lfs?

well is it just me or how long did it take for a new 0.5v version to come out shortly after tweak for s2 0.5v... strange or am i wrong?
