I plugged in my old msff pedals, and this is what I came up with.

Disregard the other axes/axii?, they're from a different controller

I still don't understand why the sims has to bother givin you that information. Just throw those max rpm values in a few #define's and you're set. And for recording the amount of rpm's for each individual gear when you hit the shiftpoint, you just make a program that figures it out. I can even post the c# code i have for it.

Please don't make outgauge more complicated because it wasn't supposed to be.

Quote from Almadiel :I think its pretty important to have max rpm, and perhaps top speed information from outgauge. The way it is now we have to either let the user imput them manually, or have the program guess. Guessing isn't reliable for a few reasons: not all styles of driving or car/track combinations have the player going to max RPM (when using a clutch pedal particularly), and going by the shift light won't work because it doesn't necessarily come on at the same RPM for every gear. It makes for a much better user experience if the gauges we program just work, showing the correct range of values as soon as you get in the car. Right now there is no way to do this.

Dude, you can just program all that yourself. With all the rev bar hardware I made (be it over parallel, serial or usb port) I always made sure my program was recording the max rpm's for each individual gear, and tbh, writing and debugging such an algorithm only takes 20 minutes.
And recording top speed from outgauge? Have you ever programmed with outgauge (or programmed at all)?

Seeing as this is kinda the official OutGauge thread:

Would it be possible to put the clutch temperature in the outgauge struct?
There already are EngTemp and OilPressure, but since those don't have a place in LFS (yet) I can't help wonder why the clutch temp isn't there.

I know of multiple persons on this forum who made a limiter, but are not willing to share it with the public.

@morpha, sending keys which lfs uses is not possible.

Quote from Dajmin :I think what the devs could do is get hold of telemetry data for real life sections of road. Take, for example, the area of the M25 a little way from my house. There must be data for it somewhere.

So you get the height, width, bumps and stuff, and you have a section of road. Find a few roads that match up to make a circuit, remove all of the junctions and stick what you've got on top of a big patch of grass. Real roads made into a fictional track. Cake

Indeed. Wouldn't take huge amounts of time or $$$ as actually "lasering" a whole track.

LFS doesn't really NEED laser scanned track, we just need more bumps on the track and I have no clue why the devs haven't done this already. The past year lfs went to a "more" hardcore mode with the removal of certain driving aids and addition of other transmission types, but we still have easy and sterile tracks.

I'm thinking of getting iracing, but I'd like to know a few things from the beta testers:

-Are there any driving aids? like throttle blip or cut
-Is there a system like lfs' outgauge in iracing, because I prefer making my own displays.
-How crowded is iracing atm? Will I be doing "time trials" on racing servers, or are they usually packed?
-What license do I need for the skip barber car? I just love that car

And lastly, when can I buy it? It's kinda shitty to see videos on utube and vimeo, and not being able to do the same

And a remark for the people who say it's too expensive; it's only 13 us dollars a month. And since dollars are worth as much as toilet paper I dont really see this as a problem.
I just have to drink 2 less wodka redbulls per month (4 euro's a pop here) and my accountant won't even notice a difference in my spendings

Quote from evilpimp :I really don't see why people hate Hamilton so much. Just because James Allen LOVES him you have to hate him? Enlighten me on what he did to be considered a dick to you guys?

This crash was plainly due to stupid lights going off like that. He couldn't do much about it. He braked, tried to go to the left to avoid a crash, locked the wheels and ended up hitting raikkonen. Plain accident.

He is to blame for not being consentrated enough to realise they were braking but I think it's really because of those stupid lights going off.

I dont hate hamilton, im actually a fan of him.

BUT

He KNEW the pits would be closed. Every race driver would know that the pits is closed when the safety car with the rest of the field drives past. It's like, called: a rule

weather radars in the vicinity of montreal are still clear from rain and thunderstorms, so it looks like it's gonna be a dry race.

What I always do in the summer is grabbing 2 80mm fans, use 1 for sucking in air into the case, and the other one sucking air out (the one sucking air out should be highest btw).
A fan near the window/doorway blowing some fresh air to your pc area works good as well.

btw, recently because of the heat I had this problem as well, and it turned out to be the northbridge chip (which was only passively cooled) which was constantly overheating.

Good luck fighting the heat

I had that too

Me and some friends were in the back of an american van, kinda like the A team van, and the driver of the van (a brother of a friend) was driving like a lunatic through Eilat until we hit a giant speedbump.
As the van did not have seatbelts in the back, we pretty much went airborne and all hit our heads pretty bad.
Luckily no one got head wounds, but we never drove in that van again

I think most people already knew that the FIA was a shitty organization, but this is just mind blowing.

Only thing I'm hoping for now is that the AAA, ADAC and certain automobile brands will go further with their threats instead of pussy'ing out.
