One of the three guys I live with never really leaves his room or goes away. So for the first time since we can remember he went away for the weekend meaning it was time to strike.

Classic cling-film-room prank, used about 9 rolls of cling film, almost two hours work. Did absolutely everything in his room; mattress, pillows, duvet, clothes, all 200-odd DVDs, rubbish on the floor, everything. Cling filmed his door shut from the inside and climbed out the window.

One of my other housemates rigged up a webcam and recorded it. I think you can see for yourselves he didn't appreciate the efforts we'd gone to.

He's never had a sense of humour but we didn't know he'd be this bad - he didn't come out of his room or speak to us / see any of us for a week!

Annoying he found the camera quite quickly, but there's a few seconds of gold in there.

Picked up some new wheels for my E36. Not as nice as the RC041s Dan has, but got a cracking deal on these. Needed new tyres all round anyway on my old set and these came with virtually new Dunlops for the princely sum of £170. Still need the M3 lip and front mesh.

Very nice Petr, looks like a very slippery track (or rubbish tyres) but great fun!

The following video is the second qualifying sprint race for last weekend's Sandown 500 round of the V8 Supercars championship. If you don't know or don't want to know any of the qualifying results for the weekend don't watch this.

With that out of the way, click and enjoy what must be one of the best sprint races I've ever seen.

V8 Supercars 2012 Sandown 500 Qualifying Sprint Race 2

Bloody brilliant, Jono Webb especially!

Quote from PMD9409 :I'm trying to figure out why he is even driving, he is supposed to be on his skateboard!

That failed jumped looked like a 50-50 bluntside along the barrier to me, he just can't help himself.

Andrew Jordan's pole lap from Saturday, it's a flyer! Looks like he's driving a XFR, so loose at the back, love it.

That what onboards should be like.

Andrew Jordan on pole for tomorrow's event at Thruxton. It should have been Shedden really, looked like he was absolutely dominating in all the practices but his lap times were disallowed due to being over the boost limit.

Plato apparently had a big off in qualifying as well after putting in a lap good enough for 2nd on the grid, if anyone can find any pics / vid of the crash then please post.

Collard shouldn't have got 3 points and a £500 fine for his 'donut', alright it was naff but still, first race of the season, first win for years, give the guy a break.

Dissapointed for Jackson to lose the Race 3 win, there was a difference between his move on Plato in Race 1 and Plato's move on Shedden in Race 2; it looked as if Jackson actually locked up after outbraking himself and couldn't help but give Plato a tap, whereas Plato knew all along that he was going to put Shedden in the gravel.

Verdicts on Toby Moody? I like him, still adds the excitement that Ben Edwards brought to the commentary, a worthy replacement I think.

I heard this last night but didn't want to post until I was sure, but now I am.

Joe was hit by a train. I don't know how, but they say it's being treated as non-suspicious.

Awful, just awful.

Joe Shaw - "5haz" - Some Tragic News

Unfortunately I was made aware of some very tragic news this evening which I think you guys should know if you didn't already.

Joe Shaw - "5haz" here on the forum - recently passed away. I used to go to the same car club as him and, as I'm sure was the same for many of you, raced and talked with him numerous times online.

He will be sadly missed. My heart goes out to his friends and family.

Too young.
