Btw Mazda AER engine was slow because of air intake restriction in LMP2 but its reliability is definitely bad. Anyway awesome entry list but wondering how good it would have been with one 908 diesel + 2 908 hybrid let's hope Toyota will be fast
LFS Lapper development is dead since 2-3 years ^^ Gai-Luron made an awesome job about that but LFS Lapper was origally made to run leagues and an automatical prequalification and pool system (FRH site is down so can't show it but there is still that one : http://www.lfsfrance.org/liguesfr/gcomp/index.php). Airio is more an insim to run some public server for me and then EQ Worry added a league system for Genuine Racing dailycious series that was quite awesome and a next step to LFS Lapper gcomp system.
Airio is really a good help especially for its AIRIO world database and basically because it records your time and help you to follow your improvement. When options are well setted it isn't disturbing at all. Wanna remind you that !silent command that enables you to delete any message.
Well Mysho I have a theory : XRT in demo instead of FBM. XRT is one of the hardest car to handle like a pro in LFS and BL1 combo level was much higher than FBM. FBM is way easier to drive and faster. When I joined LFS back in 2005 I spend almost a whole Year in demo improving my skills in that combi building what would become 3years later E-Team (ISR team at that time) and doing some leagues there. There was many teams indemo and some really good one with good drivers ( N I K I) and was quite common to meet some good drivers in those team's server like Worm.
It was quite common to stay a lot of time in demo and improving, building team...finally I got S2, wasn't really fast but I was clean at least and motivated to improve (btw I didn't mind about development as many new comers do). Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like driver are now staying less time in demo so basically take LFS like NFS and don't care about heir and other pace and join S2 server with pretty low experience and no fair driving behavior that you almost automatically have when doing lot of public racing. They have NFS behaviour and driving a simulation like LFS isn't what they want.
Btw LFS was my first sim racing game, Now I have rFactor, tried iRacing, played GTR...finally those game motivate me for one week then I joined an LFS server and had fun back
Btw I have always being astonished how an STD or TBO server can be quickly be full. That's only need few drivers to start the madness and then more and more drivers are coming and level automatically improve. That's because good drivers having fun fighting in close racing whereas newbies can't follow and always finish far so leave quickly.
So cargame.nl server can be full of clean and fair drivers (already saw that) if they simply join it, aswell as any other server. Anyway feel that a road car server would be better CTRA system was just an help, but not the reason of good racing. When I see how full of good drivers GenR server was last few weeks, c'mon simply join those those server, stay there 20-30mins and ppl would join more an more. Need only a lauch
For me the problem of cargame is that too many (different) cars are racing at the same time. As boothy said CTRA had several server that were multiclass but specialized in max 3 class (LRF-TBO-STD for example) so there were no troubles about an FX2 wrecking an XFG.
Btw for me it was the reason why only two of CTRA server were full, because drivers prefered those cars.
and what about alternate endurance and sprint. Team could be set with 2 or 3 driver (like in iTCC for example) which team up for endurance races, so that will make a driver championship as each driver racing under his name hald the races but also doing some longer races that require more flexibility, strategy and teamplayer skills. Something like what V8 supercar do with Bathurst 1000 to show a real relevant example.
Team championship will be less important and the winner will be a driver, not a team.
Some example :
Round 1 BL1 for 2 times 20 laps
Round 2 AS4 for 4 hours
Round 3 KY2 for 3 times 10 laps
...
For me it isn't enough...on some track TBO tyres can last 1h40 ! (South city for example).
TBO enables so many strategy so it is suc an exiting race but with only 3 hours there is only 2 possible 1hr (easy) and 1h30 (not that easy but not that hard on some tracks). 6 hours will be quite better and enables more strategy (multiclass aswell )
Was only talking about nakajima wurz is one of the few drivers (<10 including 1923's Lagache and Leonard winner) to win as a rookie. So basically only few chances to see such a line up winning.
Rui Lamy isn't a peugeot factory driver since Quesnel told him he will not drive anymore in last Le Mans 24h while he was ready to take over from Bourdais in the morning. Btw Bourdais and Pagenaud have already an Indy programm and that would surprise me not to see them driving at Le Mans (honda for simon, and Pescarolo for montagny, sarrazin and bourdais while Wurz is already with Toyota). Anyway dunno at all about Gene (Ferrari?).
Well I don't think toyota will win, unfortunately Le Mans is about surviving and not only about speed ans btw Toyota have never had any luck and awesome reliability in his previous attempt. Only plus they have is hybrid and Oreca that have already won Le Mans with...Mazda!
Toyota line up aren't impressive, there #1 car looks good but second one have some rookies which isn't a pretty good sign since this race is about experience.
