Well that's odd and my G25 doesn't do it, nor have I ever heard of this from anyone else. Is it possible that something takes the focus off of the LFS/rFactor window? Like the Windows Firewall pop-up (would make sense since it only occurs when you join a server)?
As a temporary solution you could try Shift+C in LFS.
Are using any modifications that hook into D3D? Like ENBSeries (known here simply as "bloom addon")? You must disable such mods for LFS to be able to save the D3DSurface to file.
On topic:
Played around with it for a while now, definitely going to use it for video projects. The pixel-perfect frame-by-frame recording makes it ideal for slow-motion capturing.
Improvement suggestions:
Jump to time - moving the timeline slider to the exact position you want it at can be tricky, so it'd be nice if you could just enter the exact time you want to jump to.
Smoothing / easing - some advanced parameters, perhaps even a full-blown curve would be nice.
Interpolation - Allow a custom formula.
And I've encountered problems with the AE export, or rather the import of the generated file. Unfortunately AE (CS4 anyway) only supports up to 99fps so if you attempt to import a 100fps composition, it'll fail due to the fps value being out of range. Despite this limitation, the AE export function is one simple but very powerful feature.
That's a matter of configuration. With allow_url_fopen and allow_url_include on, remote inclusion is possible. However, this is not recommended and not enabled by default, nor will you find it enabled on any shared hosting service.
As for the issue described, I've tested file_get_contents() on 2 machines, one here at home, one in a datacentre in Germany. The latter is slightly faster, takes 220ms on average to obtain the information from LFSW.
Explained simply by the fact that the silica polymer bond of a good winter tyre, designed to "sand" off the inferior layer (and yes, that includes a film of water) on the surface, will prevent the rubber compound from establishing smooth contact. Or put bluntly, a winter tyre is not designed for dry surfaces. The average winter tyre out-performs the average summer tyre on a wet surface at temperatures as "high" as 8°C, and naturally on snow and ice at any given temperature.
Anyway, winter tyres are mandatory here in Austria (and as far as I'm aware, also in Germany), as is advanced driver safety training where, at this time of the year, you get to experience the difference between summer and winter tyres first hand with your own vehicle.
On the "cold snow" (that's not quite ice, it's somewhat rough) surface at the local driving camp, it took me 69m to get to a standstill from 48kph, at 50 I got off at the other end of the strip. Kumho Ecsta 235/45 fronts, 255/45 rear, these are good summer tyres and they're in good condition, but the fact is everyone else that day managed to stop in under 30m, except those without ABS who did even worse than me. I was the only one with summer tyres in the group and I really don't recommend it, not only because the limits are low, but also because the margin for error is ridiculously small and it's a snappy loss of grip. However, that really was a simulated snow surface, not a cold tarmac road.
You can increase the message text size in Options -> Display.
You'll also find a button labelled "Interface" in the right bottom corner of the same page, it brings you to a new menu that allows to change the scale of the interface as a whole, but only from 0.5 to 1, so that won't be of any help to you unless your interface is currently scaled below 1
Might be difficult but I'd like to see the different approaches to this subject. Even if the result isn't terribly impressive, trying this is probably a rewarding experience anyway... might give it a shot
I must say I greatly appreciate the way this was handled and I especially want to extend my thanks to Victor, who's response was practically instantaneous
Couldn't you (or Victor actually) integrate it into the InSim Relay setup on LFSW? Connecting a host to the relay requires the admin password, so that works as authentication of sorts.
Anyway, thanks for your efforts, you will be receiving a mail from me shortly
I don't suppose you take requests regarding the CP?
There is ... or was a nice drift series utilising Tweak and Steering Lock Mod, now the latter is registered as cheating even on hosts prepared for it. It was already detected by the old system on hosts that weren't prepared for this modification, so there's no harm in allowing it on hosts that are.
If it's at all possible to allow steering lock mod again (tweak still works as far as I can tell), I, for one, would be tremendously grateful

How do you spot a dog's intent? Well there's no answer that applies to all dogs because there's no such thing as a generic dog, they're complex individuals influenced over the course of their life by other complex beings, primarily their owners. A valid generalisation, however, is that dogs are not mindless killing machines. They can be trained (read: tortured) to be, but they aren't born that way, none of them regardless of their race.
Assumptions as to what prompted the change in behaviour are pointless, could have been something you did, could have been something not related to you at all.
For starters, you could just talk to it and gauge the reaction. Some need authority (and a strong vocal apparatus, which can be a problem for girls), some react better to kindness. However, if you really want to know something about that particular dog, you're gonna have to ring the bell and get acquainted "nose to nose", with the dog and the owners.
Oh and I hope I don't have to tell you not to put your hand through the fence
Scawen and Victor are fairly communicative and Victor in particular is well integrated with the community. That puts Eric in bad light, but the fact of the matter is, we don't know what happens behind the scenes. Any assumptions regarding his diligence, or existence for that matter, are quite simply unfair.
