If the drag of downforce was equal to the gain in speed by not having the extra downforce, then i doubt the teams would spend any money in developing aero as it would come to the same result as minimal areo, of course in reality there are tracks like monaco which would be faster with maximum aero and drag then minimal areo and no drag.
Gaining time out of Aero has always been about gaining downforce with the minimal drag increase and in other cases, drag reduction without reducing downforce.
Im Sure if Redbull wanted they could make their car much slower in the top end for even better downforce but they are likely to be in scienario of drag reduction and Mechanical advantage.
Singapore, Rosberg got a peice of.rubber lodged into his.front wing which effected his handling somewhat, I wouldn't say it effected it that much as.hamilton wasn't that much faster pace wise.
still to this moment i have yet been able to get into GTA online, best i have got is to customize the character then its just says error server timed out.
Sounds like traction control kinda, quite a few people on youtube seem adamant its cylinder deactivation, which would make sense as Renault was playing with the engine mapping quite alot in the blown diffuser days and it was making similar sounds, not quite sure how you can even have a blown diffuser with the current exhaust regulations.
